I suggest you take a look at C first.Python is good but might give you unsuitable habits.
Also , the "Python Crash Course" by Nostarch Press is an ideal for absolute beginners imo , it details p much everything it does in a very detailed way , which is nice when you have no experience with programming in the first place.Plus half of the book tutors you through projects like making a Space Invader game , or an API.
