Using the old logo because I doubt anyone would recognize the new one

Whatever ffmpeg's counterpart is

Gimp is a great image manipulator but it is not an image creator. I mean, its name IS the gnu image manipulation program. I dont know why you expect it to compete with the image creation aspects of other software when it explicitly states its intended role

Even Paint.NET is better than this pile of shit

>can't draw basic shapes

Use krita to make images, says so right in krita’s faq.

It's been a while, you made me look it up, I got to say that the new logo is quite elegant.

google apps is better than ms office

and you're all fags

nosoft

Waterfox.

Foxit PDF reader.

>2019
>Foxit Reader

Name a better alternative.

Firefox.
Unless you need to print the PDFs or if you're dealing with large (>~50MB) documents.

>alright, let me center this text...
>you gotta be kidding me...

STDU Viewer is what I use
but is just for windows only...
and is not open source, and doesn't relate to the thread, just as an alternative PDF reader...

Foxit reader was good, now its a demo for their paid software.

Not free software

Inkscape has been way easier to use as a casual than Adobe illustrator. I'm sure illustrator is better for... something, but give me inkscape any day for any random project

Sumatra PDF

evince, sumatra pdf

>google apps is better than ms office
this is peak faggotry

github.com/sumatrapdfreader/sumatrapdf
>open source
>lightweight
>PDF, ePub, Mobi, XPS, DjVu, CHM, CBZ and CBR

this

>evince
Surely you mean atril, evince is shit

Inkscape is very nice, very intuitive and really powerful and comfy

Illustrator, while powerful, has a shit ui
Actually even Photoshop (very powerfull too) has a shit ui too

In my opinion both Gimp and Inkscape are much more intuitive, I find the easier to use than Adobe's software
I'd like to test Scribus once to see if it can be better than or at least an adequate replacement for InDesign

Sumatra is awesome, it makes Windows bearable

Does it count when the software sucks, but all the commercial counterparts are being bought out by this horrible corporation that ruins all of em at a point the free software comes on top?

Attached: BlenderDesktopLogo.png (1054x934, 242K)

you got it backwards

>atril
I use Windows

This logo reminds me of Migi from Parasyte.

If you can't you just don't know how to do it. It's easy actually.

>Cant make rar archives
Trash
Literally rasterises everything. Can’t even draw a circle simply. Trash.
Only on server and embedded.
Idk what this is.
Trash compared to Mpc-hc. Command line dogshit.
Not free software and no. Trash.
Not free software but based.
Trash.

That’s a funny way of spelling icecat

>Literally rasterises everything
Lol no

mpv is way more robust and has just as good scalers. mpc-hc can't do a lot of things mpv can with lua.

>rar archives
kek

>Idk what this is.
then why are you posting here

it can, it's you who can't

>Can’t even draw a circle simply.
select shape, stroke selection/path
>Trash.
yes you

>not up-to-date with 7zip's encryption vulnerability
everyone ditched 7zip already dude

blender is great

niggers like just prove you don't deserve anything

You never seem a good 3D modelling tool, and will never see because autodesk will buy and kill it before it have any chance of being any good.

>Trash compared to Mpc-hc.
What's the point of MPC-HC when you've got Potplayer on Windows?
It does everything MPC-HC does plus a ton more, and it's far more customizable.

blender is gay I don't like it

>>not up-to-date with 7zip's encryption vulnerability
>uses an encrypted container that wasn't designed or verified by a cryptographer
>surprised it has issues

you could have used pgp at least, retard.

The Tor Browser, Lavabit, Mastodon, Rocket.Chat, Matrix (Riot v1.0 is live btw), the Linux kernel, GNOME, LaTeX, Firefox, pass, Lollypop (against iTunes for Windows), and so on.

Also Teeworlds

Better question;
Name one piece of proprietary software that's so much better than a FOSS equivalent that it justifies running the syphilitic bucket of diarrhea known as microsoft windows?

Excel

>autodesk wants to but my software
>say no
>win
the devs are retarded

Even bigger spyware than Firefox.

are they? then what happens when you inevitably get sued by autodesk for using some obscure bullshit software patent that you probably violated? all at the cost of passing up being bought out into early retirement.

this

Any and all creative software
Freetard shit like Krita and Ardour cannot compete with the Adobe and Ableton standards.

Thanks.
I always figured it was Adobe who sponsored all the anti-freedom threads on Jow Forums.

Attached: Screenshot_20190216_200444.png (1168x362, 31K)

blender is fucking based. it has surpassed 3ds max by now.

Yes it did.
It did surpassed pretty much all the commercial software.

But it still sucks.

>But it still sucks.
I work with it nearly daily so I might not see it, but how exactly does it suck?

Only thing that comes to mind is the confusing Animation UI.

It need quite a lot of using to where the shit is.
Not as nearly as bad as it used to be, but it's still a very confusing software.

Can't open xfa pdfs. Which means i still have to install fucking adobe

well if auto desk is gonna buy any good 3d software them why are not company making money by selling consecutively made 3d modeling software.
like a software. sell it. them make it again sell again and so on?
this seems like a good business oportunity

They generally buy the company.

Are we talking free as in licensing or free as in cost?

make another one with the money. these companys will be much bigger when they get bought than when they started.
so you can start again with a bigger company make a better 3d software once again. get company bought again, rinse and repeat
