Enough with the browser threads jfc

There is no best. They are all shit.
You can't even use the "least shit for particular use" since they just are all shit.

If this was 1995 I'd say Netscape though, but the modern Web is a mess.

Vivaldi at the moment.

They all suck cock because it's basically all Chromium shit or FireFox.

No. Not at all. Look harder.

W3m

server running wget that sends you the website in a email

Using Opera 59.0.3218.0 because there is something that I don't like about Ungoogled-Chromium.

Opera: Clean UI, fast, smooth, nice features

My only problem with Opera is this shit cannot be removed or changed to DuckDuckGo

webkit... egh

All gimped because the modern web.
As I said in my post, if this was Web 1.0, even Arachne DOS (or Linux) based browser would be "the best".

That will be changed in the upcoming version.

Well fuck. How usable is edbrowse?

this OP

>this shit cannot be removed
not true
>or changed to DuckDuckGo
this is true. you can just set your default search engine to ddg and use the address bar, however.

I love the aesthetics of Pale Moon.
Sadly, the browser starts becoming more and more laggy for me over time, otherwise I'd use it.
I also wish there were more addons. Like a simple off/on javascript switcher that can be set to off by default, and something to change and remember video playback speed.

any browser running i2p ;^)

seamonkey and pelemoon are god tier.
firefox is only good for useless bells and whistles like csd window buttons or xdg-open-kde, at the expense of incredible amonts of bloat and feature regressions.

Icecat.

Opera had a nice interface and some really useful built in stuff like VPN, etc... It's not secure or private at all, but can get around regional restrictions quickly

Chrome has great integration between devices, the password manager sync works real well, it's a similar experience in all platforms.

Firefox has a lot of good add-on support, especially for mobile (something chrome really lacks) as well as theming through userchrome.

Vivaldi is a nice interface with some decent hotkeys

All up to personal preference. It's probably obvious that I use Firefox (mostly for the good add-on support), but use what suits you best, they're all flawed.

what happened to the " Jow Forums browser " ?

Lynx.

brave, chrome or opera.

It’s dead. Forgot about it.

I use a random WebKit nightly from like 2010.

post Jow Forumsbrowser and its ICON

I've been testing and researching browsers for the past couple days, trying to find a better one, but they all suck.
I think I'm going to go back to Firefox, but with a modified user.js file for privacy and security settings.
I found two already prepared user.js files and I'm wondering if anybody would recommend one over the other.
They are:
github.com/ghacksuserjs/ghacks-user.js
and
github.com/pyllyukko/user.js
Does this sound reasonable? I've read that with proper configuration you can rid Firefox of its botnet.

Ungoogled chromium / Waterfox.
Using both time to time. Don't know which is better, but UnChr working fatser.

>I've read that with proper configuration you can rid Firefox of its botnet
No you can't.

I don't know. I'm just going by this guy spyware.neocities.org/articles/firefox.html .
Who seems to be a lot crazier about security/privacy than me.

It's that one kid at every highschool ten years ago that bragged about knowing everything about technology and the internet and said linux sucks because it can't play games

qutebrowser has every feature a modern browser has, it uses qt webengine, which in turn is only a few versions behind chromium.

How to remove this annoying download bar in chromium without click on that "X" every fucking time?

Attached: download bar.png (1280x232, 42K)

let disableShelf = () => chrome.downloads.setShelfEnabled(false);
chrome.runtime.onInstalled.addListener(disableShelf);
chrome.runtime.onStartup.addListener(disableShelf);

ungoogled-chromium is the final solution to the browser question.
Well yeah. Muh chink botnet. Don't use it.

How right is this chart then?

Attached: 1548898032464.jpg (1379x4344, 1.43M)

Firefox is higher, Brave is lower.

hub.packtpub.com/brave-privacy-browser-has-a-backdoor-to-remotely-inject-headers-in-http-requests-hackernews/

Read their internal documentation and make your own user.js. It's important to know what you are doing.

Brave moved to High a couple of days ago

spyware.neocities.org/articles/browsers.html

they made the logo

Well, sure, that would be the best. But I'm far from an expert in security and don't have an unlimited amount of time. I was hoping to find a user.js I could use right now while I'm learning.

Vivaldi is fucking trash.
The only decent browser left on Windows is Firefox and even it sucks.
GNU IceCat is the best overall.

Basically nothing, as predicted

have chrome installed if you need flash.

I use duck duck go as search engine, and a load of ssh and read only request addons as well as stanard adblock and a few other please no botnet things.

anything but using chrome 24/7 is the best.

Is there any okay free VPN extension for chromium?
