here we go again

Does anyone here play Rust?

Thinking about getting a computer almost exclusively for it, just one 1920x1080 monitor. Aiming at 60 fps I guess. Medium to high settings.

Everyone just seems to have extremely different experiences on rather similar machines, and the Steam sys reqs are really weird. I don't know what I need. What are your experiences?

2060 or 2070 for 1440p goddamnit, im not buying used and im not waiting anymore

Just take it out of the OP faggot, 6GB VRAM is going to last throughout the entire next gen of consoles.

READ THE FUCKING OP

Did you put a previous version of this build up in the last thread? I think I replied to it. I see you changed to RX580 but Armor cards have piss poor cooling.

2070

build still needs a mainboard
de.pcpartpicker.com/list/W6Zpvn
sub-200 EURO would be nice but no hard limit

Its possible, Ive been tweaking my prospective build over the last few days based on certain recommendations.
Isnt the MK2 supposed to have significantly better cooling than the original? If not, can you recommend a comparable RX580 that wouldnt have cooling problems?

Anyone own this monitor?
amazon.com/dp/B07NBM6KYH/ref=as_li_ss_tl?th=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=hardwunbox-20&linkId=66cfa83235d1c4a07ba37022b9177321&language=en_US

Been looking to get back into rust, what region you from?

ROG STRIX is known for best cooling although I find the Sapphire Nitro works well enough. The MSI Armor cards are always just lower quality versions of the MSI Gaming/X cards

What can I do to make swapping my mother board out easier for me? At least in terms of getting shit set back up. I am dreading having to reinstall the operating system, reinstall all launchers and games, reinstall all this other shit. I don't think there is a way around it but I figured I'd ask. Like when I get the mobo, what should I do while my PC is up and running to make the transition easier data wise? I already backed up my data in terms of pictures and what not. However, I imagine I will need to format my SSD and then reinstall the operating system again when the new mobo gets put in? I created a windows 10 media flash drive to hopefully make the installation a bit smoother.

It has way better cooling than aero1, not quite as good as gaming x. On the other hand, mkii has backplate and gaming x doesnt.

EU, specifically Sweden. I'm assuming it's a bliss since the servers and the time-zone will be far away from the hacking chinks.

Just looked into some prices for ROG STRIX and thats out of my price range for this build. Sapphire though is. I'll look into that one a little more. How do the MSI Gaming and X cards compare to the Sapphire?

Sapphire Nitro and the XFX are considered some of the best. The game bundle with the msi card might make it worth for you though depending on what you like to play

Why does every fucking 4TB drive on Amazon has it's speed listed as 7200RPM but the model number states 5400RPM?

Jesus fuck

Usually only the 2TB model is 7200.

>1440p
>>RTX 2070 if you're fine with adjusting settings or drops below 60fps - Vega 56 ONLY if on sale
What the fuck man, the 2070 is perfectly okay for 1440p.

Jesus christ OP is getting worse and worse. It's just one person shitting up the whole thread.

Who?

I approve of the gay Linus fanservice in the OP of every thread. Thank you.

Some drone

Should I just skip this gen if I have a 1060? I'm getting the urge to upgrade but looking at the prices for a 2070 makes me want to puke.

buy used

Buy a used 1080ti. It’s what I did and the best decision ever.

flash.newegg.com/product/N82E16814137363

thoughts? looking to push 240fps on all major esports titles for the foreseeable future, and i dont think a 2060 is enough for that.

Sold out mate.

x_X u aint wrong...

How can people do this with confidence? I mean after the crypto explosion. I mean right now I know you can get a 1070 for 200-225 used compared to 300+ new. Is 100+ on a budget worth a questionable condition/no warranty?

Any use for one of those PWM splitter cables when you already have enough PWM headers for all fans you use? I ordered one thinking I would need it and it turns out I don't because I can't place another fan where I would like it.

No miner would touch a 1080ti and so but my one used already brings a level confidence. From there all you need is a little common sense.

Found a used Vega 56 on CL for $260. What are the chances it's gone to shit?

Very likely

Kk, and if it's not gone to shit, how good would it be for 1440p?

It really needs to stop, there is nithing short term about a 2060. Its g2g for 4 to 6 years easily. My 970 was still able to max out all the new games at 1080p and was just beginning to get into the 50s

My pp in d midle

Why are we avoiding CL14?

I See it suggests CL15 and 16.

Which is the better air cooler: MSI core frozr xl or Deepcool Assassin 2?

Anyone else get anxiety when it comes to putting a PC together? I have done it before but something about putting it all together really bugs me. Like what happens if you do everything and finally push that power button and then.. nothing happens? Heart breaking. Now you gotta retrace your steps and shit.

How do I get over that? What if a part came broken in the box? Its all fcuked up. Now I am stressing myself out. FUCK! All I am doing is a simple upgrade of some parts soon. Processor particularly.

Pretty solid, nothing amazing but iirc you can flash it to make it perform at 64 levels. Even so it’s a solid mid-level 1440p card

>How do I get over that?
preparation, practice.
also start lifting or something, and check your test levels.

CL14 is stupid expensive in comparison to CL15/16. A 3200CL16 will perform around the same as a 3000CL14 but is far cheaper.

I do lift but what makes you think I should check my test levels?

gin helps, I've never built a pc sober and assembly used to be part of my job

Ty user

So my planned build is:
2700x
B450 Tomahawk
16gb 3200 CL14
2060 MSI Ventus OC
860 Evo 1TB
HAF XB case
650W

Also have a NH D15 and a Pixio 1440/144hz monitor already.

Total build price is around $1400.
Any issues? Everything has checked out so far im just tired of flipping on GPUs and waiting for next gen shit. My current rig is a FX 8350 and a RX480.

What's best the best value for a amd build at max frames 1080p: rx 580/90 Vega 56

The reason people go for cl14 is because it's likely b-die and at 1.5 V can reach much higher frequcienes provided your motherboard and IMC allow it.

my biggest hang up right now isn't even putting it all together I guess. I am just worried about reinstalling everything. Like should I do anything to my current hard drive before I replace the motherboard? Or just get the new mobo, take out the old and put in the new. Put all hard drives back in and boot it up? I imagine I should format my old hard drive and reinstall the operating system but not sure if microsoft is going to make me buy another copy. I had purchased windows 8.1 at the time and upgraded to windows 10 via the free upgrade. Not sure how that transfers to another if I swap mobo

because there's a strong positive correlation between excessively fearful/non-confrontative/anxious behaviors/feelings and low test in males

is this thing for sale or not?
I can't find anything

>have a NH D15
You'll need to get the AM4 bracket for it.

UPS related question here.

Mobo: B450M Bazooka
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
RAM: 16GB DDR4 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance
GPU: 4GB RX580 planning to upgrade to a 1070 Ti or 1080 or Vega 56 or 2060
PSU: Upgrading to a 650w gold rated (EVGA or Corsair, please give input on this choice, whether for wattage or brand or model)

Would a 1000VA/500w UPS be compatible with any of those setups? Otherwise, I can get a 1500VA/900w UPS.

Thanks.

Is this good for 1080p@240hz? Any recommendation to make it cheaper?

>Minimum:
>Intel Core i7-3770 / AMD FX-9590
>GTX 670 2GB / AMD R9 280
>8 GB RAM

>Recommended:
>Intel Core i7-4690K / AMD Ryzen 5 1600
>GTX 980 / AMD R9 Fury
>16 GB RAM

Is this really that weird reccs?

get a real mouse, get a cheaper keyboard. look for a cheaper monitor. you will get 240+ in csgo and overwatch on all low 1080p.

It looks like the ultimate MinMax build. Congratulations.

you motherfuckers... you tricked me. you told me pc gaming was the best, called me a poorcuck consolefag, blah blah blah... now i finally have a decent pc and there's fucking nothing to play. even the games here i could have just played on my ps4. i can't believe i fell for the pc gaming meme, fuck my life

Attached: 1545976098524.png (665x551, 643K)

the 580 is hot garbage for 144hz, get something 2060 or above if you want consistent framerates at that res

>Burden of choice is so hard
Quit being a bitch if you didn't want to be a performance queen on multi plats you shouldn't have built a PC. There are no exclusives to PC it's the qol you're paying for. Own your choices nobody tricked you.

Is ryzen cpu okay for building a plex server? is not having a igpu really cumbersome?

So, I'm new to all this and am currently buying parts for my first PC. I already know I'm getting a RTX 2060, but does it matter what brand of 2060 I get? There's lots of choice, and I don't know what's good value for money whatsoever.

Get fucked, kid. This entire thread was designed to troll idiots like you into building a PC.

Just keep it strictly low-mid in price range.
Don't go for the absolute bottom tier if you're going to use it as is because some coolers are amazingly terrible.
More money won't get you more performance but it may get you a cooler GPU, better reliability and quieter fans.

Zotac AMP has a non-shit cooler, and is pretty cheap.

Linus is gay??!!!

I heard Ventus cooling is gay, get something else lad. Congratulations on the HAF, I have the 912 and I love it.

I just play old games on my PC now, I'll only play Doom Eternal this year
PS4 exclusives are where it's at boyo, PCs are for multiplats.

Would a 580 be good enough if I generally play older games and flight sims?
Or should I just wait until this thing dies and do a complete rebuild?

Attached: speccy.png (490x374, 21K)

Thanks for the advice guys, Zotac is indeed looking pretty good in my eyes right about now.

God, I can't wait to finally not be stuck on this meme-tier laptop.

Definitely enough. RX580 runs almost everything out there 1080p/60 minimum.

Are these fans ebin? I love the aesthetics.

Attached: corsair-ml120-pro-120mm-pwm-twin-pack-fan-1000px-v1-0003.jpg (1000x1012, 175K)

Turns out it was used for mining, is there any reason I should still go for it?

Does the Hyper 212 Evo fans pull air through the fins or do they blow air throw them?

Also does the fan have to be pointed down towards the GPU or can I have it pointed up towards the top vent?

Attached: DxBf8JNUcAA5gn1.jpg orig.jpg (1000x1500, 132K)

can anyone suggest a good 80x20mm 4pin fan?

Guy near me is offering an unopened Radeon 7 for 700 flat. Do I pull the trigger?

LOL

I'm looking for a good computer monitor in the range of $100-200, 24" minimum screen size with a max vertical height of 47cm 18.5in. Any suggestions?

Bumping this for the UPS question

Also, thoughts on EVGA Supernova 650 G3 vs Corsair RMX650x? Or how about a Seasonic FOCUS Plus 650?

Attached: 1544956241952.jpg (2899x2019, 1.23M)

Got around $600 to build a new one. Built my own computer 2 years ago but it randomly crashes and I hate it so I'm upgrading. I just wanna play Cyberpunk.

Attached: DyFLhmoXgAAcybh.png (512x422, 221K)

>but it randomly crashes
I'm sure it's not random and there is a cause to it.
2 years isn't old

I can't tell if it's the PSU or the RAM causing the issue. I've had to buy multiple motherboards because they keep burning capacitors and stop working. I'm only just learning how computers work so it's difficult for me to diagnose the problem.

ebay.com/itm/192695350159
Would it be possible to somehow game with this? Just curious.

What's the cheapest CPU that won't bottleneck a 1080ti at 1440p 144Hz?

First time build, let me know what I can improve.

CPU: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X
GPU: Radeon VII
Mobo: ASRock X399
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 4x8 32GB
HD: Seagate IronWolf 10TB
SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 2.5" 1TB
Cooling: be quiet! dark rock pro TR4
Power: Corsair HM850X
Case: Corsair Obsidian 750D
Monitor: Acer 32' 4K UHD LED

going to mostly use it for 4k video editing and modestly play games.

>GPU: Radeon VII
You can fix this.

with what?
am newbie
