And suddenly I'm filled with nostalgia for personal geocities websites from late 90's.

All you're missing is one of these

You cannot be serious.

u soccermom brah?

More like a 13-year-old kid who's into computers and wants to be a l33t h4xx0r. He wants to create a website but doesn't have any purpose for one.

Quite frankly, I can relate. I was that kid 17 years ago.

>PHP
it's not going anywhere desu

PHP isn't half as bad as it's made out to be. It has improved a lot in recent years and has some nice frameworks. For some reason your post made me want to use PHP again.

taking the bait
>php7 vs php3 is over 50% faster.
>You are thinking of PHP like of an Itoddler 1 in the present time
>80% of the internet uses php
source: w3techs.com/technologies/details/pl-php/all/all
>nearly all of .onion sites use php, since client site languages will get you in troubles.

>80% of the internet uses php
and Wordpress makes up 25% of all websites, so more than 3 out of 10 websites "using php" are actually just wordpress sites.

And you can bet your ass most of the major web services have php as legacy backends
>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Programming_languages_used_in_most_popular_websites

But hey, if that's what you want out of life, dealing with legacy backend garbage, that's fine.

>call someone an old woman
>they claim to be 13

Wix gay

it's better and more stable than your garbage js framework of the week, though.

>not being full stack
>protip: if you primary selling point isn't that you'll learn any framework, library and/or programming language if needed, you're a pleb
I haven't written in any JS backend so far.

>call people out about not wanting to learn
meanwhile the website is dragged and dropped together.
bye

wow that looks awful

>implying your first one didn't look just like it
There is no shame in it, son.

why are you sharing your first website tho

>he actually fell the php is shit meme and now has no job

top kek

>frontend framework meme
bootstrap and jquery is all you really need.

>wix
use neocities. you may even learn something that way.

I hosted mine on a LAMP stack and shared the DDNS url to my IRC channel in 2002. Were you even born then?

>bootstrap and jquery is all you really need.
>frontends aren't responsive and backwards compatible
>whores-laughing.jpg

yeah that's cool and all but this isn't 2002.

Your comment makes no sense. I must be a time traveler, since my first website in 2002 had a drawing that was originally drawn 6 years later.
