Invidio.us specifically avoided using the unfiltered related videos API to prevent Google from making legal threats against them like they did with HookTube. This way you get the best of both worlds. Good video suggestions from HookTube and the privacy minded/lightweight video player . from Invidious.

The trending page which you show literally is the raw outputs from the YouTube API without any filters. Look at the related videos ON A VIDEO not the HookTube trending page.

YouTube's tracking js is pulled in by Google's YouTube embedded player. Try using an invidio.us player page without the DopeTube userscript. It works with literally all javascript disabled. It just strips out all YouTube embedded players with the botnet tracking and instead uses the scriptless player pulling the raw video files from YT's backend. If you're so concerned about hitting their servers from your IP address then use a VPN.
