Have you been getting crashes with it on Jow Forums? Cause I have. ublock and firefox.

Well, you stated your point but you still need to give a reason and example to persuade people.

Yeah. Use uBlock Origin.

Just remember, I and probably others tried to warn you.

Nice justification for your warning there
-Don't go there
-why?
-I won't tell you

Works on my machine.

I don't exactly know the specifics, nor do I intend to work them out.

-so why would we listen to you?
-I don't know and I don't care to check why I'm saying this

underrated

that's why I use ublock origin.

I'm disappointed this wasn't literally the first reply. Shame on you Jow Forums

Jow Forums is actually filled with idiot memers, not technologically competent people.

I'm well-aware, but something this simple doesn't require any real technical background at all, especially given how many uBlock Origin shills are ITT

when the included image is the logo of ublock origin it is not entirely unreasonable to assume he's using ublock shorthand instead of literally referring to the non-origin version.

There was a phishing site called ubock.org? Does this mean anything for people that got it through firefox addons?

That's fair. I didn't actually notice that

It's a different ad blocker preying on those who confuse it with uBlock Origin.
Unless you have addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock/ installed, you have nothing to fear.

Anyone else using Adguard? Seems to work well and is not a browser extension, but a background ap filtering. Uses the same lists as ublock.

Why do people actually use uBlock Origin? People talk about it like it's the best thing since sliced bread. I think it's just over-hyped. If you use a good modern browser like Epiphany or Brave, they come with ad-blockers built-in. No need for third-party extensions, but instead actually native functionality with good and clean UIs. Just use that.

Because uBlock Origin is more than just an ad blocker. Sure, if you only want to get rid of ads, many browsers offer an in-built blocker.

Addblock + Ublock+ Addguard + Anti-addblock killer + Ghostery.
