it can sort files by date created
you just click on the column header, it sorts
anywhere

idiot

Works with dolphin, AKA works on my machine

What even is this? This is low-effort bati

Comfy KDE bros

I personally feel this feature is better suited for the file manager instead of including it in the kernel

Why is KDE so based bros

Is there anyway to do this with a cli file manager?

nigga, learn what timestamps are, cause your weak ass file manger only stores them locally.

I like to use Konqueror as a file manager with a JWM window manager. My favorite setup.

works
on
my
machine

Are you actually fucking retarded? No seriously, I can't actually tell if you're unironically defending the absolute shit show known as NTFS.

You know, I actually never realized that there could be an issue with such thing because I never had to sort files by creation date as opposed to last change.

But I literally can, you fucking nincompoop.

but linux supports ntfs
wintards btfo

Kernel.

All I know is that it uses statx to get the creation time.

Don't worry user, just download the Linux app in the Windows Store and let File Explorer do it for you :)

Have fun physically moving files in the same drive :)

```
ls -haltr
```

Metadata is bloat.

>linux can't do this rater irrelevant thing!
>*multiple anons post proof that it can*
>n-no it can't!
like clockwork

# find oldest file in directory tree
find -type f -printf '%T+ %p\n' | sort | head -n 1

>2019
>linux still can't manually sorting files

You can write a script to retrieve crtime using the debugfs command, and then sort based off that. Easier than installing Gentoo.

This image is legit low iq.

File sorting is pretty relevant to be fair, but funnily enough it's also something Windows is actually fucking garbage at.

Retard, ext4 stores it as crtime, which is queried with statx, see

if you open an image the image viewer will ignore how the files are sorted and will default to the alphabetical order

"Date Created" is inane, no system can know when something was created

My home partition is NTFS, so it can do that.

Hail Satan

LINUX IS A KERNEL YOU FUCKING RETARD

This guy is even more retarded than OP.

I'm just pretending though.

But can your OS sort files by gender?

Attached: 1550188089640.png (752x720, 1023K)

I was just a bit late

Attached: 1539902536392.jpg (680x383, 63K)

How do you store infinite possible genders?

>implying one gender > another
very non inclusive you cis white male bigot

You don't even need any data to store gender. There's one gender, male, the rest are mental disorders

Attached: 1547656743105.png (1000x1000, 177K)

sudo ls -lrt
This meme is so fucking tired.

>y-you don't need that
every time

I with I was a girl

Attached: jnhp.jpg (1280x720, 60K)

...

storing gender metadata is bloat, you'd need like 2^64 bits to store it, if not more

I wish I was with a girl

>can't differentiate between LOL and lol
>can't have question marks in filenames
>can't name a file "con"
At least ext4 has crtime

>linuxfags sperging
literally no file creation time stored on your hobby-os, pathetic

based nemo

Why do you need sudo to do ls?

Not putting dates in your files you want sorted by time
>20190221 1807 - filename.ext

creation time is bloat and can be fingerprinted

>2019
>Windows partitions still need defragging
The absolute state of Wangtards.
Also

Unsafe.
find -type f -printf '%T+ %p\0' | sort -z | head -zn whatever | tr '\0' '\n'

wow thats so much easier than just clicking a header in a windows explorer gui. LUNIX HERE I COME!

>why sudo?

m8 if you need to su to ls then sorting is the

VERY FUCKING LEAST of your problems...

These goalposts. (You)

ls -Art

>2019
>still no thumbnails in the filepicker

I never seen a winnigger get this BTFO this fast

>hahaa, but of course Linux can do this extremely basic thing. all you have to do is write a paragraph of commands into a command line interface and voila! you have pretty comparable results to clicking literally one button in Windows
Wincucks btfo at every turn

(You)

holy fucking shit how can one man be THIS based?

Didn't even know Windows can sort by date created. Worthless feature since in most cases they're equal or you need recently modified files on top of the list.

>NTFS
>comfy
Fuck off

>date created
date modified, not the same thing

>sorting values that can be dots, lines, planes or spaces on an infinite space with infinite possible dimensions
until this is found out, CS is doomed to be a virtual gender gulag

>Defragging
It's like you enjoy obsolete hard drive technology or something

directory TREE.
>including subfolders

Okay, this is epic.
