>Sir, you'll need to decrypt your devices for us before you can re-enter the US.
What do?

*goes back to thailand*

"No, I actually don't."

Sure thing, I'm using a tiling window manager as you can see, take your time.

Hand it over, explain it is not encrypted.
>sound to max, boot up sound is gay men having sex while begging to be fisted.
>Background image is fattest nude model possible.
meanwhile good luck finding a microsd card.

I legally shoot him because he didn't read my Miranda rights to me

Attached: image.jpg (2600x3316, 2.16M)

contraband is contraband, you're going to be locked up for a long time for using illegal encryption

*pacmans my install to brick it*
Sorry officer I just need to recompile my loonix machine :)))
*gets shot*

>Being searched in your home country/country in which you hold a passport in
That's not how that works, even in the US.

that's not how it works.

C'mon you guys are no fun
What would you do technologically, to make it not a problem if you did have to unlock your shit?

SD card in anus

Just tell him my device is decrypted, but I dropped it in water and all the data is corrupted.

don't cross the border with encrypted anything when you can upload it and download it there

Add "vim temp" to my .bash_profile

"SIr, it might look encrypted, but that is just what Linux looks like - a half baked piece of shit"

>we'll be holding you here for a few hours while we run a background check on you

Ironically many countries are making people do this now but it is Unconstitutional for the USA to do so. They cannot force you to give up your password without a warrant, though they can be sneaky with biometrics which is why your phone should have a lockdown mode that disables face unlock and fingerprint scanner.

They aren't encrypted, lol.

Imagine not having a top secret security clearance and making the TSA suck your dick in exchange for wasting your time

>*calls INS*
>yes hello some illegal immigrant role-playing as a CBP officer is trying to arrest me
>2 minutes later 20 immigration and naturalization services agents show up guns drawn
>the agents immediately part to reveal BASED TRUMP
>he pulls out a pistol and proceeds to execute the illegal on the spot
>treats me to McDonalds for being a true Patriot

This will never happen if you're a smart person. A smart person would
1. Encrypt their data
2. Put data on a server
3. Wipe Drive
4. Install Windows
5. Go to airport
6. Go to destination
7. Install gentoo
8. Retrieve data from server
9. Decrypt
10. Enjoy

It's not that hard and will prevent you from being locked up or something

>normal windows install to look like a norman
>ubuntu live USB drive
>another USB drive with plain-dmcrypt volume
>boot Ubuntu USB and mount the other encrypted USB
>if questioned say the encrypted USB drive is just a result of running dd if=/dev/urandom of=/dev/sdc
remember plain-dmcrypt doesn't do hashing so do your own with PBKDF2 key derivation with the Python install that's included on the live USB

I do, all my sensible data is in a VeraCrypt virtual drive the pig will never be able to find anyways.

>re-enter

Attached: 1548662928376.png (215x295, 67K)

I don't travel outside the US because ALL other countries are shit holes undeserving of my tourist money. However I create an encrypted container, move the container over to my cloud service of choice, log out of cloud service, and uninstall the encryption software.
>What's decrypting mean?

>re enter

If I leave I doubt I'll come back.

International travel is the perfect opportunity to start clean with a fresh OS install. Leave with a fresh install, download what you need at the destination, leave with a fresh install

Underrated post

> sir is this loli hentai on your phone?

>sir is this hardcore bara furry porn? owo

fuckin kek

i got questioned so hard last time and im a us citizen. do you all think im on a list/s?

>*drills hole on the harddrive

i thought this was half the reason you dorks got these cheap used thinkpads, as burners you dont mind getting stolen, broken, or looked at by pigs

he would be even more suspicious if you said you're running linux.

>*action*

Sorry you'll have to get a court order for it.

"What encrypted files?"

Hidden volumes in Veracrypt give me all the plausibly deniability i need.

AM I BEING DETAINED!?

Checked
Also Loonix users would probably be executed on the spot for being a national security threat.

I don't have any devices.

What would they do if i carry fresh install with me? I can reinstall with all settings in about 30 minutes as long as i carry my yubikey with me.

That's only if you are a US citizen. If you are not a citizen of the country you try to enter you basically have no rights at all.

>what's a decrypt
just pretend to be dumb

Kek'd

This

>What do?
Show my vanilla burner device for foreign travel.

they're not encrypted officer
>make Full disk backup with clonezilla before going

*laughs in hidden Veracrypt volume*

Would it be possible to have a hidden Veracrypt volume with a Linux installation on my laptop? I have a 250GB SSD and a 500GB HDD. What I would want to do is install Windows on a partition as big as half of the SSD, and have an encrypted Linux installation on the other half, in a hidden veracrypt volume. How would I boot from the hidden volume? From what I understand its purpose is to store just data, not a bootable OS.

this

>re-enter
>implying
I'm not from that subhuman country.

The only thing I have to hide is how tiny my contact list is.

I don't have any encrypted data, sir.
It's all randomized garbage.

*boots your devices*
"Please insert your password, Sir"

Linux is just a kernel, so no.

Who in their right mind would voluntarily return to fucking USA of all places?
Specially if you went to visit Europe or some other 1st world place.

Funny how the places that actually do this unironically are europoor places and new zealand.

Ok.
>Inserts random password
>Password obviously rejected
See? I told you it was random garbage.

Such as?

If you physically disconnected a drive with incriminating shit on it but left it inside (especially in a laptop) and kept the normal OS one working and booted it up for them, would they ever think to check there are others?

Why would you willingly leave the US?

French baguettes do this iirc

"No Sir, it says right here 'enter password to decrypt /dev/sda3'. You're clearly hiding something."
*proceeds to arrest you*

HOL UP DAS RACIS
*Sues TSA for 1 trillion burguers*

Incorrect, only the US and middle eastern shitholes do it. Aus/nz might as well but it is illegal in the EU
Stay mad amerifat

Friendly reminder that security through obscurity never works. Just don't keep any files that incriminate you, not on PC, not in could, not on stick, not on 5" floppy.

If you think your can cheat the system you're a fucking moron. Then again, only a fucking moron would keep evidence against himself to begin with, so it checks out.

I meant to say willingly return to it*
Do north koreans who managed to escape return? Obviously not, why would you return to a country that literally spies on all its citizens?

No we don't

Joke's on them, they're not encrypted or even password protected, they just have nothing on them except for a basic OS installation

Yes I did this when I went to the US

That's how they argue, by making up things that would benefit their opinion

Attached: 1456733718690.png (960x960, 525K)

Don't bring any devices that I don't plan on decrypting for some idiot that couldn't finish high school.

I'm sorry my decryption is at home

Yeah I've noticed that a lot, like dismissing my country as 100% black despite them being from the fucking US, or claiming my country is so gay despite the US topping every fag poll
Really peculiar

>go to airport
>install gentoo
You are not supposed to stay whole week at the airport bro.

>I need to hide my CP
>I know I will just encrypt my system, that way nobody will ever know!
Why can't you just fucking use encrypted USB stick, hide it in your pocket and that's fucking that.

>It's actually my project laptop
>I'm trying to make my own operating system
>There are still some boot bugs that looks like it's encrypted but actually just a black screen of death

>taking your laptop
>Not opening up port 22 and accessing it with ssh while you're away on some lightweight laptop or Chromebook

What the fuck are you all hiding

Attached: 1550843170611.jpg (536x384, 35K)

> What do?
Obviously depends on what you have.

*doesn't under US
Who would want to enter that shitplace anyway? ;^)

I need to you type your password into your computer.

I for one am unironically on some dumb watchlist since I was attending Ukraine troubles in 2014-2016 and other similar things. Every single time I travel by air I am checked for at least half an hour, including personal check, complete luggage check, full interview (where exactly I travel, where I will be staying, why, what I will be doing there, how long I will be staying, how much money I have with me, to give them my number and email etc.) sometimes they try to play rough cops with all the usual bullshit too. When I carry electronics with me, they are usually checked too - and since I travel rather frequently, I have now two laptops (one for regular work in my country and one for traveling), one main desktop at home, two burner phones (one for home and one for traveling - traveling one I usually rotate after each use, because they usually have some private time with it - I very much recommend Sencor Element Mini for this purpose) and one regular smartphone at home. It's just too much of a hustle and risk to carry and use just one laptop/phone for everything.

Not a glowing nigger or criminal mind you, just a guy who likes some high adventure.

*type password into computer*
Now we only need to wait a week of iteration time until the computer opens the luks device (assuming I didn't get the password wrong).

Holy kek amerilards ACTUALLY live like this and simultaneously claim they are in the "land of the free"

I am European bro. Not even western European too. If you think that you can hide in today shitty globalized world, you are sorely mistaken. 14 eyes countries like United States are only top of the creme here.

>he think people are just worried about incriminating files instead of the TBs of deranged porn they have on their PCs, or that they could be arrested for their loli hentai

>imagine having something to hide

>imagine being such a braindead moron to even use this sentence.

Looks like you'll have to hand over all the child porn you got when out holidaying in the philippines pasty faced white man.

If this was ever a thing, I'd
>back all my shit up,
>encrypt it and upload it in a place I paid for.
>Go to Plebbit and 9fag
>Browse for a week
>Download all kinds of retarded crap
>Save that as an archive

and before crossing the border

>DBAN drive
>Unpack plebbit/9fag archive
>Enter

Can I not disguise everthing as something different?
Say I have a pic a and a pic b. Pic a is only a binary number, same as pic b. So if I calculate a/b = c and multiply b with c I get back pic a. If I multiply a with 1/c I get Pic b. If I have pic a and pic b then I could disguise a as b while keeping c safe. How much space does c need? Pls don't say it's just as big as a or b.

> Implying I didn't upload a copy to OneDrive via NordVPN
Can't track me now huh, mr. FBI.

I've already told you my password.

Ooooooof

Because we don't get arrested for existing

That joke doesn't even apply here since you literally boot up "just the kernel"

How did I get outside of he US?
