Has Jow Forums ever made any big purchases after getting shilled on Jow Forums?

(currently typing on mine)

No, I used ThinkPads and Beyerdynamic headphones before Jow Forums was even the Technology board.

I'm such a Jews I take a month reading reviews before I spend more than 12 dollars.

- Logi G400 - no remorse
- Chink phone - no remorse
- X230 - it good but moved to panasonic because special snowflake
- HP rpn calculator - no remorse
- IBM M - it's very nice but I don't really enjoy using it, it's too much
- Cherry G - i regret this one, prefer rubber dome over it
- memeband 3 - no remorse
- /o/ special Toyota Hilux - no remorse, maybe little too much

I got memed into buying a used thinkpad.
It's "okay" as a backup machine, but there's absolutely no fucking way anyone could seriously use this as a main machine.

I use one daily as my main system. I'm using it now.
What did you buy?

You're full of shit, had guy from corporate come in now and then (loaded with money) and he had x230 till recently, now has X1 carbon.

If it's good enough to make millions of dollar for corporate overlords it's good enough for your poor ass.

I never buy anything. I find everything I need in trash in the street.

>PortaPros
>F-91W
>Model M
>Lian Li PC-Y6 (not really shilled but I found out about it on Jow Forums)

Not him, but heavy development on my x200s feels really lackluster because of slow compile times.
No remorse though since it's an amazing machine for general and even normal development use.

bought those animu headphones and FiiO E10 to pair with. headphones bought new, sold used. FiiO E10 occasionally make noises, stored away havent used in a while.

Poker II - some key switches broke and replaced. either not registering the press or repeats itself

NH-D14 - it was a joy to own it until i had to down size my rig, bought used, sold used, that thing is an art piece to look at

also just bought Thinkpad 260 after reading the /tpg/ infographic guide looking forward to it in the mail

I bought a fair bit of fake internet money and a couple of second-hand thinkpads.
So yeah, i guess :(

Jow Forums memes I fell for
>Sennheiser 598
>shure
>FiiO X1
>FiiO E17k
>Casio AQ-230
>Thinkpad T440p
>16GB RAM

why didn't you get a raspberry pi?

yeah i got a lenovo thinkpad to look @
i really didn't like the 'robust quality'
was like typing on a shard of metal
naw
too many issues otherwise .. need a generic pc.
not some kind of a hybrid, which I think thinkpads are.

But who does compiling on laptop? x230 is for doing excel, mail and other corporate chores.

Friend is database programmer and has dual xeon hp z600 for shit like that.

was gonna get a colored 1
then was thinking get a cheap colored 1 off ebay
got the casio black
ECSTATICALLY HAPPY WITH IT.
was in street other day listening to radio and beep beep the time signal came through
00 it was
/me feels more digitised.

>memeband 3
What's that?

Attached: 3-huawei-talkband-b3-active-black.jpg (450x350, 26K)

xiaomi mi band 3

You workout?

It also tracks sleep.

Why would you want your sleep to be tracked?

Bought a copy of The C Programming Language.

What's you impressions?
Does it need xiaomi phone or I can pair with any phone?
I have tight pockets and getting my phone out every-time it troublesome, just to see who's calling.

I really only use it as watch and for alarm in the morning and to check weather now and then.

Tried notifications, they do work but that hyper connectivity is too much for me personally.

It works with any phone, iphone included.

This. There were other shill sites before Jow Forums.

Bought a used Thinkpad. Genuinely need it. Besides the okay display (900p) its the best laptop I've had so far. But I'll be more confident with that statement once I have used it for a couple of weeks.

How much did you pay?

No, I am not much into consumerism, I only buy what I really need.

$25 or so on aliexpress.

I guess it cheaper than most watches at least.

disgusting, but if there is no remorse, some people like disgusting things and they are happy

Thinkpads.
I got chink'd in some things but an over all it was good experience.

I have 3 ThinkPad, one for parts, one for programming, one for porn

Your reaction is a issue, resale-shill.

I don't let Jow Forums decide what I buy. Most of the anons that are still here are either shills, or retards now.

this
I recently bought an x200s and i love it
Have you librebooted it? i hear they're harder to libreboot than the x200

>big purchases
It's a Thinkpad and was only 100 euros and it's worth every cent. Not exactly "Big"

Would fall for the thinkpad meme again.

bought Nokia 7 plus. no regrets.

I want to fall for thinkpad meme but can't decide which one to get. x220, t420 or something else...

If you already have a main machine get the x220. Otherwise get the t420.

You could even get both since they're so cheap.

thanks for the advise

>bought Nokia 7 plus
I also thought the phone was good but then actually tested it on a store, it's fucking huge, got a chinkphone instead no regrets

Not him but yeah you can't use a clip so you have to solder in order to flash the chip. I'm thinking of doing it for my X200s though I need to get soldering equipment first.

Redmeme Note 5
KZ ES4s
chink mech keyboard with brown switches
Logitech G400S mouse
Elitebook
SSDs
RX 580 8GB

Me.

Me too. I hate spending money and I always have to be confident in my purchase.

previous was OnePlus One, unfortunatelly the body is made of cheap plastic and started to crumble, and new parts were pricy, so N7+ wasn't so bad... I didn't like the new OnePluses

i have always liked thinkpads

>not just offloading compilation to your more powerful machine through clever use of ssh

>x220
Don't regret it at all
>Logitech g402
don't regret it at all
>ryzen 5 1600
its nice having all these cores, but kind of disappointing that Intel always has better per core performance. The only intensive task I use my computer for is gaymen anyway, so idk. Don't really regret it, but if I could go back in time I probably wouldn't buy ryzen.
>ducky mechanical keyboard
Really nice purchase. Only thing I dislike is that I bought a full sized keyboard and the numpad means I can't center the keyboard where I'm sitting. Was considering buying a GMMK board (TKL) with box pinks to use at my desk, and then using my ducky with my thinkpad which I have setup at my dining table usually and I have a lot more space there.

same here

>bought tonkpad
>fucking awesome laptop, loving it
>bought F91-W 6 years ago
>still runs the same battery
>no adjustments were needed other than DST

bought a pi 3 years ago, it fell behind my desk probably 1 year ago and i still didnt bother to find it

>giving a shit about what anyone on this Mongolian anime cave drawing website says

Actually buying anything shilled here is how you become a certified Jow Forumstard. You're irredeemable.

This
And then get depressed when you see it on sale for $11

I have a miband 2 and it helped me get first in line at the ER in a hospital because I went into tachycardia. Best purchase I've made my whole life

>SSDs

Holy fuck o bought a F91 like 8 years ago and it's still running too. I upgraded to a memeband but i have it on my desk as a clock now

256 gib Meme.2 was my most expensive purchase. Also my favorite. Booting from cold takes about the same amount of time as It would when you resume from suspension

Bought the Sansa clips after seeing them praised around here. No regrets.
Probably bought my Xiaomi phone because of mentions here too.
Fell for the mechanical keyboard meme too.

Pic related gets me laid every now and then, no homo
