Content used to be better, but paying youtubers is not inherently a bad thing. Think about the amount of content that is possible because there's funding for it. There would be a million people that you would never have seen because of financial constraints, not even for money for production but the simple fact that it takes a lot of time to make content and people have jobs and need money.
