rebost from last thread before it died
pulled the trigger on this, did I do good?

to clarify a 1070 or vega 56 can be found roughly 100€ cheaper for more ram & better performance
also the 2060 is the same price

No SSD?

Vega 56 is getting a price cut, which may or may not be temporary. I'm seeing a Cucknadastan Vega 56 for $440 right now. This is compared to the 1660 Ti (of which it performs better) price of $375 and the 2060 (of which it performs roughly similar) of $465. So the Vega 56 should be a standard option for 1440p until AMD raises the prices again, if ever.

Not bad, but the you could have gotten a better and faster ram instead of 32gb

The 1660 Ti is the best price/performance GPU in the 1080p 144Hz or 1440p performance range (for the USA, people in third world countries may have to wait a while)
For a price much lower than either, it performs somewhere between the 1070 and Vega 56 in most titles. The 2060 isn't much better and costs more than any of the formerly mentioned GPUs.
Vega would need a $60 price cut to stay competitive at all, which might happen, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Attached: Capture.png (854x832, 80K)

Vega 56 is also priced in the middle for burgers.

RX590 same price as a RX580?

Go or no go?

The 1660ti just shits all over all amd's current cards. Why are you pajeets still shilling amd cards in the op?

Define "same price". If $180, then yeah go ahead. If it's $200+, get the 1660 Ti.

They're basically the same thing
Did you even read it? The only AMD cards in the OP are at a way lower price range

pcpartpicker.com/list/FmMV29
Upgrading my shit to this.
Any problems I'll get with a direct transplant. Sure Ive heard issues with windows or HDD/ssds

>260
dats cheap
the cheapest 1 slot 1660 ti is the same price as a 1070 here rn and most of them with better coolers is the same as a 2060 and v56

>Only $20 better than the 1060

Attached: 4md2yu8hppw11.jpg (1038x905, 596K)

>They're basically the same thing
How?

>tfw Canada's 1660 Ti is $380

Every penny count.

It's just a factory binned and OC rebranded rx480.
Yes 480

They have the same GPU core and VRAM specifications
The difference mostly comes from the PCB and potential binning favorability, but that depends on the model.

1660ti vs 1070 go

>1440p
>1660Ti
lol enjoy your 30 fps

Ryzen 2600 $170
Ryzen 2600x $220

Using as placeholder for Zen 2 3700x. Which is the most sensible buy considering the price and duration? 3700x might never come out due to Just Wait(tm)

Thoughts?

What are some MicroATX cases with this aesthetic? (Fractal Design Core 1100)

Attached: fractaldesign.jpg (800x800, 41K)

>Wasting $200 just to upgrade again in 6 months
the absolute state of ayymdrones

I have to because I'm giving my old PC to my dad and it can't wait.

If your considering both of those as a place holder for 3700x that's out in 6 months time I'm afraid I can't help you cause that would mean I'm enabling a retard which would be against the law and taken as me taking advantage of you.

>6 months time
You guys said 4 months.

It's been 6 months since summer
Just wait

Attached: IMG_20190214_180724.jpg (1080x440, 98K)

Try and get a fucking 1600 for $100 or less

Some faggot got one for $80 here

Does the Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4 use the backplate or that godawful bracket?

As I said, I have to because I'm giving my old PC to my dad. You want me to sit here without a CPU for 6 months? It's $160. Give me a fucking break you retard. Go spout your shit at people who unironically buy the 2080 ti.

Besides, I will sell it again when I change it. Utter presumptious retards on this board. Just answer the fucking question or fuck off you nigger. You jealous or what?

Attached: go be a nigg.jpg (480x270, 88K)

Get a 2400g then atleast it's cheaper and manageable.

No u

How would I go about configuring 2 1TB drives into RAID 0 with Ryzen? Everything I've tried doesn't look like it's working, I backed up and completely wiped my main hard drive and selected RAID array instead of ACHI in my BIOS but it doesn't seem to want to configure the drives at all

? It already launched at CES

Anybody who said anything before January was full of shit, since it hadn't even been announced. All we have to go off of are rumors, and the most recent news is that there could be a joint Zen and Navi launch this summer.
The AM4 models use their bracket to connect to the backplate.
Check youtube

Attached: IMG_20180730_005754.jpg (600x752, 132K)

Will it work?

Attached: 7777.png (340x217, 9K)

I hope this is a joke

Remove Poolaris GPUs from the OP for fuck's sake.

>and the most recent news is that there could be a joint Zen and Navi launch this summer.
These are rumors too

TT Versa H15, the one and only true cheap mATX case without any window or RGB shit.

"THIS GUY ON THE INTERNET IS WASTING 40-50$ OVER THE COURSE OF MINIMUM 6 MONTHS! LET'S SPERG OUT AND CALL HIM A RETARD!"

This is what you sound like.

Attached: its all so tiresome.jpg (497x450, 34K)

In favor of what? NVIDIA's low-end is all overpriced.
That's what I said

wtf is the difference between trident z, sniper x, and ripjaw v memory of the same speeds

I don't go to this board but I got told about letsbld. Since this is /pcbg/, I thought it would be a good place to ask. Are they trustworthy?

Almost 3 years ago, I got a RX 480 from Asus and used it about a year until a fan started failing so I got it RMA'd and they send me another card. I used it for a few months until I updated my monitor and GPU, so my 480 sat in it's box until I gave it to a friend a last November. He told me recently that his computer would work for a bit until it just gave him a black screen. He took it to a computer guy and was told the 480 was busted. I got it back and tried it in my own rig and sure enough, it have me a black screen and then freeze up.
I'm just wondering, is there anyway to save it or is it something too far gone to fix?

>Navi launch this summer.
The current big rumor is navi is delayed until October

Then buy a 9900k and 2080Ti if you don't care about money faggot

The latest latest rumor is Navi got delayed until q1 2020.

>4c/4t
>6c/12t for 70$ more
All I want to know is if the 2600x is worth it over the 2600 for 50$ more. I will be using a noctua d15 as well. I want to enjoy 6-10 months, not suffer through them, if it's only a matter of >200$ which I btw will resell.

honestly try and snipe a cheap 1600 or 1700, they can be even cheaper than a 2600. You don't need the 2600x if you'll upgrade in the summer again.

>this guys wasted 50$ over the course of 6 months!
>WELL WHY DON'T YOU BUY A 2080 TI AND WASTE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS THEN IF YOU CAN SPARE 50 OVER 6 MONTHS
The state of this board...
This is less money than you spend on fast food in probably a month. What the fuck do you know about the rest of my economic habits? Neck yourself

Just heard that Navi got cancelled. It's over bros.

Thanks for the only sane reply in this thread.

Attached: smoking.jpg (750x707, 55K)

You will resell it and get your money back moron

OH NO NO NO NO

Can anybody provide me info on
>GALAX(also known as)KFA2 GeForce RTX 2060 6GB
It's real cheap in my local shops.
I would literally buy it right now but I am very concerned about the amount and quality of phases it has as lower amount of phases will guarantee coil whine under serious load.
Any info on that card?

>corsair hydro is actually huge

well fuck, do I replace the back fan the case came with or do I try to squeeze the thing though a hole and put it outside the case?

Heat sink design, possibly some PCB changes.
Only worth using if you have more money than IQ
I would need to know the model number (or at least have a picture/link) to say anything about it

Attached: Mayushii.png (300x250, 57K)

Attached: plz-stop-post.jpg (500x375, 92K)

Well looks like I'm keeping my 1060 6GB for a bit longer than I planned.

Bright side is that I'll be able to slap my shit into a nice little case for streaming later

Attached: 1541454928799.jpg (505x404, 48K)

what's the best cooler/fan I could use in an alienware x51 while still using the default fan shroud?

Sure here
techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/kfa2-rtx-2060-1-click-oc.b6602
kfa2.com/kfa2/graphics-card/20-series/kfa2-geforce-rtx-2060-1click.html
galax.com/en/graphics-card/20-series/2060-series/galax-geforce-rtx-2060.html

I configured the drives to RAID 0 but I'm having issues reinstalling Windows, there aren't really clear instructions on how to use the AMD RAIDXpert2 drivers to install Windows in RAID array

Is there any advantage of having a rx 590? I bought it yesterday and feel like a fool now. Seems to me like amd isn't quite there when it comes to gpu's.

Return it if you can.

Probably Noctua's small form factor cooler
Here's a picture, I would guess this is a 4+2 phase
It's basically a 580 or 480, with slight frequency improvements

Attached: 2060OC_K_04.jpg (1130x1554, 397K)

BS, creating an ES, testing and staring the production doesn't take that long. Fall is possible.

Gtx 980 or Gtx 1660 ti for 1080p 144hz. I'm from Canada and a 1660 ti will be $380 + 13% tax, so in total $430. Any other options? Should I look for a used card instead? Max budget is around $450 incl tax.

Sorry, I meant to say I have a gtx 980, looking to upgrade to a 1660 ti.

Woah that's expensive man. What's wrong with Canada?

it's amd. they're incompetent as fuck

What's the difference between a Pro and Evo SSD and which should I get?

Someone has to pay for all the rapefugees they're importing

It's either that or Vega
Write performance
EVO if you're buying new

Planning on upgrading the pc I made in '12. Looking to get the i7 8700 and rtx 2060. What's a good MB and PSU to use for these?

Not sure, the dollar has steadily decreased since 2014. The same situation happened in 2003 but didn't take this long to recover. Everything is 3x more expensive here and the salaries are 20% less.

> Pro
MLC
> Evo
TLC.
TLC is OK for a home PC, but if you're going to do a lot of writes, then Pro it is.

There's no reason to get Intel if you aren't overclocking

Anything decent should be enough.

I'm not buying amd cheap trash.

Yeah, you're buying something worse

Based.

then buy either proper intel or proper AMD stuff

How crap are A400s from Kingston?
It's for an old pavilion dv6 2170 that saw 4 years of heavy use until the HDD died (the fan died just before warranty expired and it was replaced by HP). Now I'm thinking to shell out a few backs and turn it into a small NAS to store my stuff, ~150GB and run my 24/7 cronjobs.
I could also get a crucial MX500 which is a much better SSD, but I think something else will fail earlier and I don't really need it anyway. I'll just build a miniITX machine after the laptop is definitively dead.

Real talk what's the benefit of amd other than supporting the underdog if all I do is play videogames?

Not that guy but wouldn't a person always have more money than IQ?

I'm a newfag to SSD's so I don't know what those mean all I want to do is load up my windows and vidya faster.

Should I upgrade my GPU? I currently have a GTX 1060 6 gb, but I have plans to get a 1440p monitor soon

Attached: 1524283511854.png (2267x1903, 496K)

none

ye, the 1660ti is pretty much THE 1440p card right now

Avoid buying if you don't need to. SSDs can always be reused, so I don't see why it would be better to get a lesser drive.
AMD can produce their CPUs at much lower prices
You could go all the way and buy a 9900K and a $300 motherboard, but I doubt you will
They aren't literally comparable

1660Ti is shit for 1440p and no point getting it when 2060 exists

Is there any point installing the latest nvidia drivers if I have a 1070Ti?

yes

AMD is arguably more futureproof since at every level above the Ryzen 3, they offer more threads and cores than Intel. Assassin's Creed can already make use of 8 cores and 16 threads, so the only Intel argument of "but games don't use that many cores" doesn't hold water anymore. AMD is also competitive on the single thread performance and IPC, which for years was Intel's main advantage. And with the Zen 2 chips releasing in July, AMD will take that crown from intel for the first time since 2006.
TL;DR AMD offers more bang for the buck and is likely to last longer before being outdated and needing replacement/upgrade.

Yes. Nvidia recently added Freesync support in the latest drivers.
