Alright, good. I actually though the notches were a bit silly. Particularly the big trapezoid ones seemed quite distracting to me, pic related works okay enough -but really, why not just have a bezel?
But they'll disappear from the whole range again, not sure I'd jump on a high-end phone for just that.

FTFY. But that has been the case for like 4-5 years now.
Better dedicated cameras for more interested photo hobbyists to professionals are doing fine, though. People definitely still consume a lot of images, so devices to produce good images are in reasonable demand.

Pretty much certainly a trick to get the high-end users to buy another phone sooner rather than later.
The average person who partly bought this as a status symbol will likely be willing to upgrade again once he hits an inconvenience like storage getting full, and the newer thing that anyhow renews his bragging rights is out. [I think they also might have introduced phone case materials that visibly show a bit more cosmetic defects over time for that reason?]
