How did he do it?

How did he do it?
How did he make such a masterpiece?

autism made him do it

literally who

His art and drawings are shit.
Programming a shmup is not that hard.
His music is pretty great though.
So he is great in one thing, good in the next, but shit in the third.

autodidacts have existed throughout history
many famous scientists and philosophers taught themselves, as many predated the concept of formal education

I think zun admitted once he learned to program games because he wanted an excuse to write video game music

>ducks out of order

I swear to fucking god

Nah, he wanted to become a music circle for comiket, but they wouldn't let him. So he made a game that used the music.

nigger

but he looks like a gook not a nigger

And created a fanbase of its own.

Who is this fellow homo sapiens and what has he accomplished?

Some people don't need other people to read them the contents of some book. Amazing, isn't it. Programming is particularly easy to self-learn.

Pls answer this user. We need to know about this turboautist

That's Notch, the creator of Minecraft.

Zun. He made some anime games.

Everybody knows Notch is disabled black woman, smartass.

He wanted to flex his video game music, but at the time, could not do so successfully without a video game. So he made games, even though his art was shit (it's slightly better now) and really kickstarted the doujin music scene at Comiket.

On the technical side, his music was first made on the FM synth chips (basically tracker music) included on the PC 98 he made the first 5 games on, all coded with Borland Turbo C++ and using the included graphics API. When he moved to the 6th we switched to Visual C++ and leveraged the help of his university peers at the Amusement Makers to get him a custom DX8 API. For the 6th game he switched to MIDI and included a WAV soundtrack recorded on an SC-88Pro, but from the 7th onward he switched to an SD-90 module and dropped MIDI in the 9th game.

I only really play the games because I enjoy the music and like shmups

2hu designs are pretty iconic. just because his technical ability isn't top notch doesn't mean that his art is horrible

probably not as bad as this board

It's pretty bad, like really fucking bad, friend.

The real question is why does his games have shuck a variable frame rate? EoSD is pretty bad about it, jumping from 60 to 50 constantly

You have something set up wrong then.

The cutest touhou pics are the ones with a slight trace of derpyness from the original art

I love the zun style tags on danbooru.

I may not like it...

>IT'S MUH STYLE!!11

is this /jp/?
anyway ZUN music is pretty good and he is cool to let other people make another remix/arrangements based on his music.

I dont give a shit about music, how can I become good just in drawing and programming?
hard mode: while still be able to have a job and socialize with people?

who?

he's lying.
he learned programming from a book.
the book author taught him.
music and art, well you need talent for that.

>music and art, well you need talent for that.
You can learn both from a book and practice, same as programming

victor von doom

Fucking Yandere Dev...

What happened with /jp/? Last I saw the board seems to range from Japan idol to VN discussion.
