Not sure how you've determined that, but regardless of hardware Android hasn't lagged since the introduction of 64bit octa core SoCs and more than 2 GBs of RAM.

I love how One UI is such an obvious clone of human interface design with just a hint of material design sprinkled in.

They copied the iOS screen transitions (but without the useful back gesture), they copied the large titles that get smaller when you scroll down and that snap between those states and are never half-scrolled, they copied iOS Tables, they copied iOS buttons...

Doesn't matter, some half-baked coder will find a way to use it all up. In reality, most updates of hardware and software iterations don't lead to any practical gains. It is upgrading for the sake of upgrading. I'd say it's actually gotten slower because of all the junk that's added on.

No one knows or cares that my documents and presentations are made in Office 97 instead of Office 365. The fundamentals of photo and video editing did not change so no one notices it's Adobe CS2 instead of CC. The engineering drawings still print on older software with no issue. I do not upgrade if I don't have to. It just forces me to get newer hardware because the same functions now require far more computing power for no good reason.
