I guess it can make nice animations.

You get what you pay for.

best foss video editor

It's fine if you're one of those people who actually pays for software and can't afford an indie license.

it's actually not that bad but underappreciated

They went around to fixing the horrid UI

Ironically Blender itself used to be proprietary software that failed commercially, and was then later opensourced.

you shouldn't have wobbled the view up/down, it makes it hard to see the pin is falling and not going up and down like in a wave

Autistic design, obnoxious fanbase. 2.8 is overhyped but at least it's an improvement. I wish there was a competing generalist 3D suite that was also free/open source so people wouldn't suck its dick dry.

It's for creation 3D objects and animation.

It's great, just not beginner friendly

I think you should slow it down a bit, maybe raise the framerate. It looks too clunky.

>implying Blender is for making shitty gayming stuff

My school hosts one of the mirrors.

>implying that isn't it's most common application by a long shot.

Blender is a great tool and the more time I spend in it the less miserable I am.

They dropped the BGE, it's only worthy feature (or rather the only one that I can use without the result looking shit).

Once you learn the hotkeys and customize your own the modeling is pretty easy. Some modeling tools could be more intuitive/versatile though. Like alignment tools were a mess last time I used it, given that was like 4 years ago

It's free and I enjoy it for making simple models for 3D printing.
