Why aren't you using Hyper Terminal? It’s an amazing terminal emulator that will be a great replacement for your current one. It’s very customizable and very easy to do it at that. It's very aesthetic out of the box, and has a lot of support for themes and plugins, and installing them is as easy as hyper i [package]. Version 3 is coming out very soon, but you can use it now if you use the canary version from the github. It’s completely open source as well. It’s also fully cross platform for Windows, macOS, and Linux. I've switched to it as my main terminal and I love it :)

Yeah apparently it's slow. I'm on macOS and when I run a screenfetch on Alacritty, then Hyper, they appear at the same speed (to my eye).
But Alacritty is supposed to be the fastest (i.e. far superior to Hyper), but I can't notice a difference. Meh.
