Radiation exposure is correlated with developing cancer. I wouldng be surprised if a lot of technology is radiating unsafe levels, but we just havent lowered the threshold of what is considered "safe." Thats my intuition.

But thats not my main concern with 5G. I'm concerned that 5G may be used to scan the inside of peoples homes. This was already possible with basic WiFi, but 5G would actually make informative images. The idea is pretty out there, but they would undoubtedly have the *ability* to create a 3D model of your home at any given moment. Whether or not anyone cares enough to actually investigate that data is another issue.

We should really be thinking about how we might shield ourselves from this.

Because there's money to be made off people who simply have to get the latest phone with all the newest memes, and if you aren't peddling the latest, bleeding edge tech, you might as well not exist on the market. In the coming phone generations, if it won't have 5G, most of the flagship buyers won't even consider it. Anyway don't get me wrong, I'm all for new tech where it makes sense, but there's basically nothing you could do on a phone where 4G bandwidth would limit you, except maybe for downloading large amounts of data (that you'll move to a computer anyway because what the fuck are you gonna do with it on a phone.)

Most providers are already serving more people than their gear can support. It's why 4g which is supposed to have speeds easily faster than 100mbps can barely reach 10% of that during peak hours.
