Programmers aren’t based. Now report to your scrum master.

>t. sysadmin glorified babysitter

I like the idea but the software is awful (both desktop and mobile app)

If you're worried that one day Slack will come up with some new bullshit policy and you'll be too locked in to the platform to reject it, then you should host something on your own server instead of using Slack.
If not, it's pretty good. Emoji reactions are useful.

if the ux is so bad that companies would rather use
discord
instead of it, then you know its irrelevant

Wait, this is not a bait ?

Slack isn't bad, but they completely killed Screenhero.

Use Riot.im

Stop screeching, and just stick with Discord.

>not open source
FAIL

seriously though, most good programmers will prefer to just use IRC.

If you need something else, look at XMPP or Matrix (as suggested)

Shit tier boomer chat for normies in the workplace. The apps are fucking horrible when compared to even discord.

I can confirm programmers aren't based
t. programmer

Use Mattermost instead

I won't be using the same service for both work and my shotacons

It's discord for professionals and people with careers

>babysitter
I wish. The average sysadmin is applying duct tape to shit they broke in the first place 8 hours a day.
Only the exceptionally competent sysadmin is a babysitter of quiet functioning systems.

Yeah it is ok for communication between team of basedboy programmers

Slack is the Mac of software. If you inject onions into your veins then you're fine.
Otherwise a regular irc server will do everything you need without being a bloated shit.

just use riot.

It's abased neonazi supporting platform
