Post cool apps that you like that aren't that well known

Anyone know why there isn't any IR trasceiver to control TVs and such?

Transistor is the most legendary Android radio player I've ever used, 10/10 would recommend

I have no idea what F-Droid/FOSS is. Is it like cyanogenmod? Is it a play store alternative?

F-Droid apps I use and enjoy the most are Clover, QKSMS, Simple TODO, NewPipe and Camera Roll. I think that qksms is really underrated and seeing my friends' faces when I lock my phone and NewPipe keeps playing a yt vid never gets old.

it doesn't look bad at all but radiodroid has way more useful features, such as radio searching or audio recording. i don't know if you can add your own urls.

It's an app store from Free and Open Source Software.

>I think that qksms is really underrated
Word. It has scheduled messages, theme support, black/dark mode support and backup/restore functionality. And it's FOSS on top of that.

I think highly of Conversations as an XMPP client, since the devs created OMEMO (Signal-style encryption for XMPP)

I think it grew out of the Replicant project (Stallman android)

someone once suggest essential launcher, and holy sh-t, is it awesome

I use Skytube almost daily. I love that it allows you to easily download videos off YouTube for use when offline, avoid those pesky commercials, follow channels anonymously, and generally avoid the butthole that is YouTube (while still accessing its stanky contents). To quote some dude named Kenneth Kram: "Try it, you'll like it."

Kiwi browser

Is newpipe kill? the last 2 updates made it not work for me

Is there a QR reader with decent integration to the android?
Like generating QR code for contacts and such?
Android 9.0 (Pie) now require internet connection to read QR code.

Is there a FOSS launcher that would allow you to add a clock as a background?

Works fine now
>requires play services
yikes

I thought we left behind the days of android having 12 clocks on screen at any time

It's for my uncle, he's an old man with.... an old aesthetics.

Want to like nori for booru browsing, but it mangles up the filenames and searching is a pain with no autocomplete.
Like termux, password store, and muzei.

You are a good nephew.
I hope my nephews act like that when they get older

Don't really see icecat on android talked about much but I enjoy it

G-Droid! fixes all fdroid bugs.

Thanks, modern society is getting stagnant, especially to elders.
They were limited by their times, and it's hard for them to cope with us, but because of them we are where we are now.
The least we can do is help them, isn't this the right thing to do?
Unlike leaving them in some house for the elderly.

Download xscreensaver from F-Droid and you can have 3D clock live wallpaper like in XP : ^ )
Also Lawnchair is the best launcher

Open Sudoku and Blockinger are my favorites for when I want to kill the time.

i doubt you need a whole launcher for that.
ever heard of live wallpaper? search around that

Is there any FOSS?
