What's worse is that they lack the basic logical thought process to even fake it well.

I'm not even a programmer and I took ONE semester of C and I still know the basic flowchart for finding odd numbers in a given set and can write a rough outline on how to do it because I have a basic grade-school level knowledge of math and basic logic skills.

Do these people expect that if they pass the interview and get the job, they can bullshit their way in the job?

I worked for a startup while finishing my undergrad. There were several “programmers” who went to those 6-week schools. Sure, they learned the language but holy shit they can not problem solve to save their life. I would have to write code with them. They write fucking messy, their logic is shit, and half the time it doesn’t even work.

This was about a huge project that we were extending. These fucks would make one giant function that is about 50 lines long. The logic was almost impossible to follow.
There’s so much more. I quit to finish undergrad. I think their business tanked.
