I'm not, but I could never stand Gnome and GTK DEs like LXDE in general. KDE is much more complete and fluent, resembles a MacOS or a Windows GUI. Probably the only GTK DE which looked just as good as KDE is Unity, but it's a bit more dated now and lacks customizability.
The main difference of KDE compared to other DEs or WMs is that it looks great out of the box, without any ricing.

For the rest, KVM with Windows will do ; either that or you can RDP into it with FreeRDP to use your required software. This is viable if you use it from time to time, several times in a year. If this is your professional tool, either switch to another software or move to Mac, even Apple is less retarded about changes, despite yearly releases.

I work as graphic designer and Adobe stuff is a must. Just buy second hard drive and use first simply for gaming/Adobe and second for your regular stuff with Linux. I don't even have browser on my Windows installation at this point.

Windows 7 won't die after support ends, it will still be usable 2-3 years after that just like it happened with XP. Only then will I consider using a Linux flavour and either dual boot it with W10 LTSB or run it inside a VM with GPU pass-through

Windows 7 does not support NVMe drives ootb. Windows 7 does not support USB 3.x ootb. Windows 7 does not support PCIe hotplugging stuff like TB3 does. Windows 7 does not support modern NICs ootb.

Your OS is designed for servers, all the professional support for LInux is for Linux servers. You are not supposed to use Linux as a Desktop environment, it's made for servers. honestly i'm writing horseshit bait, but it's somewhat true, because i do /gd/ and linux is absolutely no way feasable for me. also i wouldn't count my life for ANY distro to work even 90% properly on a random consumer laptop from recent years, yet windows 7 or 10, unlike solus (died after system upgrade, refused to boot installer on another machine), ubuntu (gnome was terribly unstable and had power management issues) or antergos (this one actually works for most part), will probably be fine and wouldn't get that bullet in my head.

It's a 2009 system dude, give it a rest. USB3 was adopted in 2010-2011, with AM3+ mobos and some Sandy Bridge mobos, but there was no chipset support till Ivy Bridge in 2012. Maybe - just maybe - some manufacturers put it on some previous mobos in 2009, but Win7 was RTMed in mid-2009 and features were finalized somewhere in April, so no way they could've added generic USB3 drivers like they did with EHCI.

My windows install is constantly crashing/having issues.

When I boot with my monitor plugged into my RX580, it won't display anything until it bypasses my dualboot selection screen by automatically booting into linux. So I have to hotswap to my gtx660 just to boot into windows.

It crashes easily once a week, and often it feels almost like once a day.

It does stupid shit like disabling my internet until I apply the update it downloaded.

It's full of ads for bullshit programs I don't want in my start menu.

Despite having a functional win7 product key, it invalidated that key and deauthorized my install at random after several months of being perfectly fine.

The ONLY reason I use windows at all, is because all the software I'm commonly using only works in windows. If it weren't for that lock-in, you couldn't fucking pay me to use windows.
