better than mine, but i have a entry level budget custom build pc

Here it is on Firefox. The canvas test looked much more slower than on Chrome.

Because throwing around numbers without any context is pointless.
Also I can't complain about FF's performance. Gonna do Chrome next.

> desktops are slow
you answered your own question
get Android

If you run benchmarks you should do it in a new profile. For example uBlock Origin can slow things down if you create thousands of DOM elements a second and I imagine CanvasBlocker would interfere with canvas performance. On GNU/Linux, Firefox, unlike Chrom*, doesn't have hardware acceleration enabled by default so you'd have to enable that for fair comparison.

no its fast and responsive but i just wondering why firefox isn't as fast as chrome

DESKTOPFAGS ON SUICIDE WATCH! HOW WILL DESKTOPFAGS EVER RECOVER? ANDROID BEST! INDIA SUPERPOWER!

Well, can't argue with results. Just not sure if my build is that much better or Win10 sucks.

Different benchmarks test different things. Sometimes Chrome gets the best results, sometimes Firefox, sometimes neither.

Usually Firefox falls behind when it comes to Javascript execution.

Your pc specs please

Why does chrome use so much of my ram when opening it

Ryzen 7 2700x
16GB RAM

Microsoft..

Except it's not. It only gains points for HTML5 conformance, load and response is lower.
Same story for , , and , where it's near equivalent, but still less.

because youre subhuman nigger cattle
firefox is faster than chrome on virtually all metrics (except for the special snowflake NIH "standards" google pushes for bullshit like youtube "polygon" and mozilla cucks itself into adopting)

the one advantage chrome has is in "psychometric optimizations" - things that actually take longer for your machine but due to being a gullible meatbag, """feels""" faster to the users.

Gotta process all that big personal data lightning fast to the Glowing Agencies.

I'm quite ashamed of both Edge and Vivaldi

Attached: basemark.png (2290x1522, 229K)

i got 950 in vivaldi

Attached: 1525745516491.jpg (256x256, 13K)

Restarting without a billion tabs open got me 850, of course I can't expect any chrome derivative's performance to be anything than

i was live streaming youtube at 1080p at the same time too

Because it takes a second for the NSA code that opens the Chrome, Opera and Edge backdoor to timeout.

I think you need to buy more internet
I had like 20 tabs open so I don't know if that's hurting my score. Crackpot theory would be chrome is faster because google throttles other browsers access to google products (to make theirs more appealing) and since google owns like 25% of "Big Internet" you see the slight speed differences. I bet if you use non google web services you will see no speed loss

I forgot to post my score because I'm stupid

Maybe it is slower, but is the increase in performance worth sacrificing your freedom and privacy? What is it that you do with your browser that requires high computing capabilities? If it plays porn and browsers anime forums you are fine.

Attached: Screenshot_2019-03-02 How fast is your browser .png (975x790, 40K)

I'm sure that made sense in your schizo brain.

>It only gains points for HTML5 conformance, load and response is lower.

From their website: "Basemark Web 3.0 will also contain a Conformance Suite, which doesn’t contribute to overall score, but tests the browser’s conformance."

Ungoogled Chromium on my shitty Gentoo laptop with extensions disabled. I'd compare it to Firefox but it wouldn't be worth the trouble of actually getting it to run properly on it with all the yadda yadda...
This test cranked my temps up 15C hotter than Portage going full tilt.
It's the fucking web, lads... It shouldn't need to ever BE that powerful. What the fuck.

ITT a few people who created a bullshit website try to get people to use it

Nice try fellas

>thinks ff is slow
>uses default win10 apps

Google Chrome 72.0.3626.121 on Core i3 with >Debian stable GPU enabled on SSD, score: 386.53
>iPad Air 1st gen from 2014, score: n/a test fails to complete.
>Samsung A5 from 2017 official ROM, score: n/a test doesn't even start up.
Useless.

performance always comes before freedom

mine is stuck on number 7 of the test. Maybe my gpu crashed.

first answer how can a browser be slow?
