Why do Zoomers keep their towers on their desks? It's such a colossal waste of space, and doesn't really "help" your computer's life (unless you live in complete squalor). I just really don't understand this trend. My tower doesn't even FIT on my desk, so either you're wasting even more space by having a needlessly huge desk, or crippling your ability to upgrade by forcing smaller form-factor parts.

Never understood this either.

This really bothers you, huh? Interesting

i have my tower on my desk

back to bed gramps

Zoomers own computers?

quick access to IO and less dust

>That chair

My tower is on my desk because my brat 12 month old son fucks around with it otherwise. I used to have it on the floor, where it belongs, and will return in good time.

If we are talkin zoomer styled shit what about these glass computer cases so they can look at the bright pretty lights
Zoomers are living memes

yeah they mostly play video games on them

>quick access to IO
>he can't bend over slightly

>less dust
>living in squalor

>My tower doesn't even FIT on my desk
I get it now. You're a coping poorfag.

>that chair

Attached: index.jpg (225x225, 10K)

Mine doesn't fit on my desk either so I put it on a narrow table behind my desk. Subwoofer and UPS go underneath said table and out of sight.

>not thermally grounding your tower to the cement basement floor
a shameful zoomer

>less dust
Are you fucking retarded?

they prefer to have the EMF to fuck up their brain and the stuff in their torso rather than their nuts.

Attached: sperm_counts.jpg (634x471, 44K)

are you?

The decline in sperm rates is from xeno and phyto estrogens in the water supplies of big cities, the trend of tight pants, poor diet, and the baby supplies they used to use being loaded with shit. It has literally nothing to do with whether or not your computer's tower is 4' off the ground or not.

it's probably just an increase of fapping preventing sperm from building up

>mostly barren corner L-desk
>waste of space

Let's be honest - that table never sees any real work to justifying freeing up another roughly 16"x5". But I'll give and say there's no real reason for the tower to be on work surface unless you're regularly swapping hardware.

I repurposed an old dining table into my "computer desk" until I get around to building a proper workbench. Thing might have a vise clamped to it one day, a stripped down rifle on it another, and so on. The tower stays on top in case I'm swapping drives in and out or need to disconnect peripherals to make space.

Tight pants are especially to blame imo.
That and this fad of wearing briefs and boxers briefs.

>my brat 12 month old son
You're a terrible father if you consider your 1 year old child to be a brat.

>less dust

Not him, but I have a feather comforter and it produces a ton of dust. I would get rid of it but I can't find any synthetic blankets that are warm while regulating heat and humidity quite as well while maintaining good drape.

Lets talk about something more pertinent about that pic:
>$1000+ Alienware gaymen machine + sub-$30 IKEA desk set

$1000 is poverty tier for a computer. The poverty furniture fits it nicely.

Easier access to ports

That was a tongue-in-cheek comment. He's 1, and he's awesome. He also *really* loves cords and cables.

touche.

>dust
>indication of squalor
based retard

>$1000 is poverty tier for a computer
If you're a mongoloid buying pre-built Alienware garbage, sure. But a grand can easily get you a decent build.

I think with the popularity of RGB parts and tempered glass side cases, children want to look at their internals. I have a plain black box with no window or RGB and I just put it on floor out of the way. Just close enough to reach over and use the Blu-ray drive. My only concern is that my floor is carpeted and I don't want my PSU to choke on carpet fibers.

Attached: 1527966916663.jpg (1072x1200, 213K)

Vacuum your floor and it wont be a problem, or just prop it up on some wood or something if your too lazy to clean your damn house

>a decent build
That's poorfag code for "low end garbage." If you spent less than $1000 on a new computer for gaming, I'd be surprised if you could run Candy Crush on low settings.

Not everything is about games, user. You can do all the work and shitposting you need, with some light gaming to boot if you really want, for well under $1000. Hell, my computer only cost $650, peripherals included. It doesn't have le epic gaymer lights, tho.

under desk master race
I have two monitors and tons of open space

I keep it up on my desk because it's easier to clean that way. But you wouldn't know anything about that since you're a floor-shitting NEET who lives in a room filled with garbage.

>your

I do it because I live in Florida and my house is one story so if we get a minor flood Im not fucked or as fucked.

30 year old boomer here

*ssss* *CRACK* *siiiiip*

Do they not raise bungalows and such there? Don't think I've ever seen one here (Northern Ontario) that didn't at least have a crawlspace, or cinderblocks.

They do more often by the Keys and the houses out in the middle of nowhere.

I live in a condo community thats right by a lake.

zoomers don't have a life so they don't use their desk space for anything

I used to keep mine on the floor, then my puppy pissed on it, right through a grill and onto the power supply. Now my new build sits on the desk,.

New here huh? Maybe you should lurk more before posting again

Attached: 1541603163541.png (215x235, 9K)

Nigger

I had to open up my PSU, voiding the warranty, because there was so much dust in it that it was causing shorts.

t. desklet

decrease of sperm is due to the fact that multiple men aren't inseminating the same women for many generations

Less dust, fuck vacuuming 24/7

Houses in Florida, for the most part, have neither a crawl space nor a basement. If you do have a crawl space, you're a poverty stricken mobile home dweller or you live on the beach. I don't know why this dichotomy is, just calling it as I see it.

wooden surface vs carpet floor

>[the current year]
>carpeted floors
Imagine the poverty. Wait, no, even my roach-infested slum in the ghetto had "wood" floors. There is no excuse.

my rent is $2200/month, how about yours?

When I was renting that place? $600 (CAD) per month for a one bedroom (~500sq.ft.), included everything except electric.

exactly, so fuck off with the poverty meme. its just something that is common based on locale

Carpeting is the cheapest flooring you can possibly get, besides maybe fucking linoleum. It's a poverty floor. Not sure why you're so upset at being called a poorfag; did I maybe strike a chord?

Not him but carpeted floor is mandatory, tile/wood is cancer to walk on barefoot, its a fucking eyesore too

the cost difference of $3-5/square foot is absolutely fuck all. even less if its a high quality carpet

>carpeted floor is mandatory
Sorry about the socialism, user.

Carpet is good for bedrooms, but it's best if the living area, etc. have wooden floors. Though if you live in an area that experiences colder weather i'd say get carpet almost everywhere since it insulates better.

I live in Australia. the carpet is for insulation (as the latter mentioned) but for preventing heat.

Prefer wood floor in bedrooms.

Get a rug.

You guys know that slippers exist, right?

im going to take a wild guess and say you are on the autism spectrum

Slippers are for fat people with no circulation to their feet.

Carpeting in the bedroom? Maybe (or just ). Literally anywhere else (kitchen, office, washroom, mud room, laundry room, hallways, etc.)? Fuck off.

Carpets are impossible to clean properly.

You can seal a wood floor and finish it so it doesn't matter if you drop shit that would otherwise stain a carpet. For me its just a matter of being practical. If noise is an issue I just get a rug, which can be cleaned easily.

Or it's -40°C out for a month and it's too expensive to keep the thermostat above 18 and you're wearing thermal underpants and two sweaters to keep warm and maybe it's nice to feel your toes too.

it helps to insulate my apartment as well user, not just me.

carpets are very easily to clean properly if you have a good vacuum (miele) and the occasional steam clean. single mums with dyson meme sticks perpetuate that meme

I have my tower above my desk on a covered shelf actually. Virtually no dust

Slippers are also for people for raynaud's phenomenon, tripfag. You sound like a child with a look-at-me badge.

>Why do Zoomers keep their towers on their desks?
Less dust, imbecile.

>a good vacuum
>(miele)
pick one

I bet you use bagless lmao

>Easy access o the ports/disc drive

>Less dust for it to suck into itself compared to being on the floor

>If you have multiple monitors the cables don't have to stretch as far

>If you have a fancy PC with a window and LEDs you probably want it where you can actually see it

He's trolling, just ignore

>tower
stopped reading there.
fuck off, retard

Attached: 1455822611272.gif (330x166, 2.11M)

you people are so old fashioned and own towers and sit at desks all of which are a colossal waste of space - a lazyboy or a couch is so much better

I just put my laptop on my lap and put my feet up to enjoy some relaxation and keep my nuts warm

>"that's the CPU, idiot!"

Attached: kek.png (986x797, 869K)

Leg room is more important than desk space as long as you have somewhere to put a keyboard and a mouse.

Based

Apart from the kitchen and the bathroom I'd much prefer carpet over a hard floor. Hard floors are garbage.

Sorry about your delicate pansy feet.

>most of the desk is empty even with the tower on it
>waste of space

>If you have a fancy PC with a window and LEDs you probably want it where you can actually see it
zoomers are fucking retarded

I bet zoomers don't even keep their toasters and kettles on the kitchen floor to save bench space.

I mean, I don't particularly care about flooring one way or the other, but if I had a choice, why would I ever pick wood over carpet?

>that little coaster mousepad

Attached: handsomelaughingman2.jpg (704x528, 25K)

Easier to clean, longer life, more durable, looks better, etc.

>Easier to clean
This is true, and its why I'd want a hard floor in the kitchen and the bathroom.

>Longer life
How long do you expect the life of a carpet to be? We've had the same one in our living room for about 17 years now.

>More durable
Eh? Wooden floors get scratched. I don't know how you could even damage carpet, short of a fire or a rodent infestation.

>Looks better
This is down to personal taste and I disagree.

That being said, I do have delicate pansy feet. 22 years old and wearing size 5 shoes (that's size 7 US) lol

fuck you zoomer

why would you sit at the corner of your desk
whats that shitty chair

>why would you sit at the corner of your desk
The cuck mindset, ironically, tends to penetrate every facet of one's life.

glad i'm not the only one who noticed. looks like a clothes horse bent vaguely into the shape of a chair.

I do that at work.

Just so it serves as a visual barrier.

I have weird table legs and just too little space below my desk. The shelves are already taken up by other things and are too small for a tower anyway, and there's other furniture and a wall immediately to the left and right of them.
