I bought a used gtx 970 shortly after the witcher 3 released. Still use that today, and probabky will for a while. Sadly, Im quickly losing interest in games, especially the AAA ones, the games i actually do enjoy playing these days are like Hollow Knight or hotline miami, and for those the gtx 970 is more than enough even with a 144hz monitor.

Even if we exclude ray tracing (which looks great and runs fine at 1440p or below) and DLSS (which Metro has shown can be better than upscaling) Turing is still always the better choice over Pascal because of the newer arch with more shared mem, mesh shaders and the ability to concurrently issue INT and FP ops. Turing is only going to get faster than Pascal as it ages.
Like honestly, why buy a 1070Ti when the 2060 is the same cost, performs slightly better and is newer?
