Traded my 1080 for a 1080ti

even though its poozen, very nice build.
>Traded my 1080 for a 1080ti
why? that's on the border of being a side grade.

1440p 165hz monitor and the 1080 wasn't cutting it. All I payed was $160 on top of my 1080, and I'm not shilling out for a 2080ti.

I didn't even know Nzxt made tower coolers. Should really consider properly dusting out the case.

yeah I know, just lazy and first time poster in guts. Case has only recently been moved off the carpeted floor, I hope I didn't fall for a meme. could you recommend any easy to do methods to clean dust out of the nooks and crannies without air in a can?

Also, could be some obscure australian model or something. Can't seem to find the pccasegear page.
very slick, nice

Just posting the usual before the thread dies due to the lack of interest.
Nice and unique DIY job.

>1440p 165hz monitor and the 1080 wasn't cutting it
that's what g / freesync is for. makes it pointless getting max hz.

It is a Gsync panel, and all that does is stops tearing. I can still notice the difference between 120vs140+

>Toshiba P300
Keep your eyes on the SMART logs and statistics (NOT the useless attributes table) for that shit.

That's Toshiba's basic bitch line and it's prone to mechanical failures, especially the 3TB model. Ever wondered why there isn't a 4TB P300 even though it would be just an extra platter? In this case it's not market segmentation, oh no no no. The 3TB is at the limit of what the design can handle with all the missing corners. It's equivalent to Seagate's bottom of the barrel drives except both louder and hotter, and from my experience, a lot less tolerant of shock.

Why did you swap the 64 for a 1070?

Nice, I was planing to do something similar. I'm surprised "actual"dust filters aren't a thing.

Sidegrades seem to be his thing.

I have the same air boost Vega 64

Consider putting a Morpheus on that thing. That was a really popular thing to do when only reference cards were available.

>younger brother has a 9700k and 2080
>I bought the 2700X and 2080 because I could not wait for the 9700k
>my brother hates me for using his PC all the time
I should just sell my 2700X and wait for the next Intel offering.

fuck lithuanians

literally me and my brother.

I'm younger brother with 9700k. He has a 2600X.

>1070
its a 2070. and my gf got me it as my anniversary gift. it is nice having the less heat output and the 2070 is faster than it in nearly everything i've tested so far. my freesync display works great too. freesync fully works.

How? Even if one performs slightly worse both computers should be too similar for you to care about which one you're using.

My brother and I both have 1440p G-sync monitors, there is tangible difference that's night and day.

The 2700X is not a bad CPU, its just grossly inferior to the 9700k for gaming.

going from my former 2700x to my 9700k i too notice improvements as well at 1440p. not a placebo. much higher minimum frames, less jitters. games like bf:v saw some big gain in minimum.

poozen isn't bad at all. for the price its hard to beat. intel is better, but you do pay for it. but i think its well worth the extra cost.

Sums up my experiences as well.

Intel is costly for sure, and if you're on a budget, ryzen is a good choice. But if you can stretch your budget without sacrificing elsewhere, intel is superior, at least in regards to gaming.

youtube.com/watch?v=3K02zTu_baY
and
youtube.com/watch?v=rvnb_d4gQmU

has a good technical overview as to why ryzen fails poorly in gaming. ryzen just has a weaker front end than intel. which causes increased latency. it really isn't because of intels massive clock frequency lead. other factors as well. also smt seems to add extra latency on poozen as well. while intel suffers no performance degradation with it on or off.

youtube.com/watch?v=EmZdNkbzUKE

another one from him too testing cache. as ryzen suffers a cache bottleneck.

This is some desperate fucking shilling.

>post legit proof
>even say poozen isn't bad
get called a shill. ladies and gents, you can't win when you're facing the top 1% of retards.

those EVGA cards are aesthetic af.

What case is this?

it's on the list. a Cooler Master HAF evo

noitced i left the morpheus on there. removed it and put the model of my monitor on instead.

I've read reviews saying to avoid 3TB P300 so I ended up with the 2TB model. Looks like I still have to prepare another hdd for potential replacement.
Having this kind of air filter restricts airflow massively. I haven't tested with other fans but I'm using Noctua NF12 3000rpm Industrial for high static pressure. It gets loud quick.
Nice, I have the 56. I purposely went with blower design for this set up.
