will these fuckers work with AM4?
They _are_ AM4.
As if, lol
gonna get me a 16 core to compile the kernel
What is the difference with the X and the non X if they are all overclockable/unlocked?
>what is segmentation?
>what is binning?
gee i wonder user
>12/16core
>AM4
You mean X570 AM4, not X470 and definitely not X370 AM4
AMDrones love the yearly motherboard change
3850X and 3800X would at least need raised TDP recertifications for some older boards.
As long as your boards VRM can handle it, if it can't don't even think about overclocking.
> oh no, I'll need to flash my BIOS and won't get the gimmick of the year like SenseMI
sounds like absolute Hell, user.
Have fun soldering on new VRMs
My Taichi has a VRM setup so overkill it's funny.
So take the non x?
yee
chances are pretty good that you can recover the lost boost clock by simply overclocking and then some
how many fucking times does this need to be mentioned? ffs
every thread till its released/wakes up
The Taichi or the Taichi Ultimate? Is there even a difference in VRMs?
>8/16 for $200
Imagine how shit the IPC is gonna be lol
will 3600G OC to 3600X level?
lol it seems unlikely to get to 3600 level
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Older cheap boards will have less overclocking / XFR headroom due to inadequate VRM but will otherwise probably work. I don't see why you'd use a high-end CPU with a shitty motherboard though.
if that shit is true then i'm dropping DDR3 finally. In fact, I will get a x5675 and OC the hell out of it and I hope that holds for a year until I get a 3600X or something like that.
I actually use my iGPU to drive more monitors, so maybe I will get the 3600G, though when I get the xeon working, I will probably throw there a passive low powered GPU for those extra monitors. I have two so whatever.
X370 Taichi, the OG one.
