What is the best, least content-restrictive free webhost that someone can make money with?
Nearly every webhost has ToS that say something along the lines of "if you're being a big meanie poopoo head we will nuke your fucking site from orbit without warning you even if it's completely legal content".
what if i don't have the money to support that kind of endeavor though?

Do you have a computer? Do you have an Internet connection? You can host your own server. Don't be a lazy fuck.
Jason Roberts
Do some kind of work for a few weeks, now you have enough to run a web server for years.
Zachary Walker
i have it but it's not that good (it's actually kinda bad by today's standards) and i need it for other things
i already work and still lack the moolah
Logan Morris
Depending on your needs, you could host a server on something as weak as a Raspberry Pi.
Elijah Morales
well i need it to host it in a way that doesn't make me lose money
Connor Price
a raspberry pi has a stronger gpu than my computer

3.9 stars out of then doesn't sound all that good honestly

is vps a virtual private server? does it have the restrictive tos i talked about?
Wyatt James
what exactly do you mean by restrictive? it obviously wont let you host illegal stuff (according to laws of a country where servers are based), and it wont let you run miners and stuff that use all the cpu resources

I did and thats why I asked for clarification on what you mean by restrictive
Sebastian Stewart
by restrictive i mean "i can arbitrarily and immediately remove you if you post something that someone deems inappropriate/offensive even though it's perfectly legal for you (and me, depending on country) to do"
shit, man, that sounds pretty good to me. Anything else i should know?
Charles Bailey
pretty much every cheap (and not so cheap) vps provider will do that, if you cost them money they will remove you
Carson Cooper
I dunno. I only discovered this host by chance when somebody mentioned it elsewhere--they don't do any marketing. I don't do anything with it except a tiny little JS-free personal site.
Also, I think I saw somewhere that they don't allow automated uploads or downloads except for the purpose of regular backups, but I can't find it in the FAQ.
Thanks man, will check it out. Do you know anything about their monetization?
Gabriel Bell
afaik a web proxy and an http proxy aren't the same thing

nearlyfreespeech.net/services/hosting You aren't allowed to make money from a "non-production" site; you have to upgrade to at least a "production" site. You don't have to upgrade to a "critical" site, though.
