Do I still need to charge the phone for 24 hours once I get it and before using it?

Not anymore. They have lithium ion batteries

Just recieved my pocomeme, what do?

shove up pooper

thanks user i cum on cat she hiss at penis

I'm just gonna make some fucking friends and compare a gcam poco pic with a pixel 3 pic in different lighting conditions and we'll see which one wins faggots then you'll shut the fuck up

>it's 100x worse in low lighting, details get shot to shit
This is why you use Night Sight. Next?
>I have seen comparatively same pictures, say a Note 9 vs gcam Poco where the Poco looks like ass but autists fling shit because it's not taken by both phones at the exact same spot.
So, how can you compare them then? Seems like a reasonable objection to me. While you're masturbating to all of that, the Redmi Note 7 Pro has a 48MP sensor and some OPPO demo device has an optical 10x zoom, so...

No

Install GCam

My next phone

where do i buy samsung s10 or s10e with snapdragon 855 varient from the uk?

don't want to spend premium on exynos 9820 lackluster performance.

currently on a phone with snapdragon 617. want to move asap!

>S10? No thanks, I prefer the Chinkbotnet 8500
>M-money isn't a factor here

Attached: 7090605.jpg (437x437, 21K)

You can import one from USA

Nice meme reply. Are you 8?

Yeah, 8 layers deep into your personal data, chinkboy

eBay. Search for SM-G9700 (S10e), SM-G9730 (S10) and SM-G9750 (S10+) for the SD855 dual SIM variant.

Why should I get the Galaxy S10 when the Note 10 comes out in a few months?

Here's your beloved Samsung.
androidcentral.com/samsung-messages-app-randomly-sending-pictures-some-users

That's a good question.
Do you want phone now or phone with pen later?

I'll take accidentally sending pics (because seriously what do they gain from this) over "accidental bug" that listens to your conversations

>few months
They always announce the Galaxy Note in August, with it becoming available for sale in August or September, so it's still about half a year away.

it's not the same
I will get the poco/gcam and a note 9/pixel 3 compared this year, I fucking will

>over "accidental bug" that listens to your conversations
And this was which bug in particular? On the other hand, Xiaomi being as Chinese as possible, is ironically one of the most developer friendly manufacturers while newer Samsung devices have very limited support so far. Partly due to pricing and partly due to Samsung themselves making it harder for developers. So, in some cases you can't do anything but take for whichever vulnerabilities are discovered if you have a Samsung device.

Is the LG stylo 4 from MetroPCS rootable?
Ive had this problem before with them having OEM locked phones and lm going to get another phone. Is the stylo 4 rootable and what are some other phones to avoid, thank you.

Why would anyone want to spend more in a phone when you can get almost the same performance for less? It's 2019 already. Just because your phone is from a recognized brand won't make it better.

Am I the only one furiously masturbating every day while thinking of the Librem 5?

>I will get the poco/gcam and a note 9/pixel 3 compared this year, I fucking will
Good for you I guess, but those two examples I've mentioned are already surpassing all three phones you will fucking test this year. I'm almost sure you've bought an overpriced Pixel 3 and you're at the final stages of buyer's remorse.

>few months
More like the end of the year, you idiot.

Keep thinking. It's been delayed three times already.

nice a low-cost display that will remind you of the zero notifications you recieve per day

Why the FUCK is my Xperia XZ restarting itself every 5 minutes?

Anyone care to hear my thoughts on the Mi Mix 3 after owning it 3-4 weeks? I will type out a pretty thorough review if anyone wants.

Attached: mau4.jpg (270x534, 25K)

Yes i em

My phone (xiaomi mi max) randomly got a crack on it. Not from dropping it and my friends were suprised too since i showed them stuff on it seconds before. Anyway, hoe hard is it to replace screens on phones? I remember fucking around with replacing the glass once on an old phone and it was pretty difficult. Any suggestions or should i just get a new phone.

If so is there any other 16:9 or 4:3 phones that are really big? A phone with mi max 1 height and 4:3 is my dream phone

He talks about the apple bug that makes phones listen to conversations even now

I'm used to it, honestly. I've been furiously masturbating over the elio for 3 years now. At least Purism has some products available and a decent reputation, so there's a decent chance that their product will actually release instead of taking all of the investors' money and declaring bankruptcy.

Vivo phones always look so interesting but worries about their software put me off purchasing them.

can't unlock the bootloader on the LG Stylo 4 = no root for u

if you wan't a cheap rootable phone compatible with US carriers get the Moto X4 for $150.

I'm interested. I have the same phone by the way. Already managed to scratch the display after one week. I don't even know how. I'm still in love with it though

Yea, I've got a Mi Mix 2 with battery being pretty dog shit (4-5h SOT) so i'd like to see how the Mix 3 compares

how's the battery life?

Alright lads. Let me finish this mission in RDR2 and then I will type it up. Gimme 5-10 min

For those of that were wondering yesterday, you do not get the Galaxy buds with the phones. They basically hid it. So you download the Samsung Galaxy store app and go to promotions, take a pic of your phone box and then they'll send you them in the mail. Very tedious but oh well.

Also any recommendations on cases for the S10?

I have a Zenfone and I've always wanted a fagship camera phone with decent specs, I'm holding out for the OP7T thanks to the 10x zoom that it will likely have
it's just me trying to convince myself and so far I have no reason to doubt it. It's not like I was ever gonna buy a Pixelshit because they are shit phones overall

Mi Mix 3 Thoughts:

Previous phones I've owned: HTC One, Iphone 5, Iphone 6, Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 5 Pro (Most recent). Phone was purchased on Ebay. 6 GB RAM, 128 GB of HD. Using pic related as a case

Most of the apps that I use are Twitter, Pokemon GO, Chrome, Gmail, Fire Emblem Heroes and Facebook Messenger. I don't plan on rooting the phone or installing gCam

BUILD QUALITY:
Phone feels super premium right outside of the box. I absolutely love the aluminum frame. The ceramic back is super sexy, but dust and fingerprint magnet. Slides up and down with a nice thud.

BATTERY: Not nearly as efficient as my RN5 was, though I don't use any power settings. I don't have a standard brightness set. However, they include a wireless charger, which is nice. The phone charges from 50 to full on the USB C cord in around 30-40 min.

PERFORMANCE: Opens Twitter in the blink of an eye. Can't really speak for gaming, but Pokemon GO opens in 1-2 seconds as well. The fingerprint scanner opens the phone almost instantaneously.

SOFTWARE: I know some people don't like MIUI, but I love it, especially the mechanism of switching between apps. I also like the screen settings you can set, such as Reading Mode.

CAMERA: mixed bag, but I can post some pics if you guys want.

Let me know if you guys have any specific questions.

Attached: phone case.png (395x384, 182K)

Does sliding feels good?
Is it too big in the hand?

Sliding is satisfying, but I don't do it too often honestly, as I don't take many selfies. It is a pretty large phone, so a big case will make that aspect even more noticeable.

>battery
any estimate on SOT?

>camera
have you tried GCam?

pixel 3 wins due to it being optimised for it and ois.

>SOT

Can't say, how would I test that?

>GCam

Never tried it, but I've looked into unlocking the bootloader and installing APKs and it looks to be a pain in the ass.

how come there hasn't been a single comprehensive review of the nokia 9? what is (((their))) reason for only allowing reviewers to post (((hands-on))) reviews? which essentially amount to nothing.

How is installing apks of all things a pain in the ass?

>Can't say, how would I test that?
Charge the phone to 100% and use it as normal until the battery is almost empty. Then check the screen on time by going to:
Settings > Battery & Performance > Battery Usage > Battery Use > Hardware > Screen

>Never tried it, but I've looked into unlocking the bootloader and installing APKs and it looks to be a pain in the ass.
You don't need to unlock the bootloader or anything like that on the Mix 3, just download the APK and install it. People are saying "MGC_6.1.021_MI8_V2b_plus3.apk" version is working fine, you can find the download here:
celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-bsg/

Here's another GCam version for the Mix 3, might be worth trying, just keep in mind you can have one version of GCam installed at a time so uninstall the previous one before trying it:
forum.xda-developers.com/mi-mix-3/themes/gcam-6-manual-focus-long-exposure-t3885610

Hmmm i will look into that! thank you

gonna post a few pics from the stock camera. Night mode

I wish that oneplus would make another oneplus x. They only sell mid range phones now.

Mix user here. This is going to be a REALLY dumb question. Do I download that link on my phone, or on my PC and then drag it to my phone?

Since when do they sell mid range phones?

>They only sell mid range phones now.
what the fuck are you on about retard?

on phone. make sure to enable installing 3rd party apks in the settings

Not that guy, but my only complaint with the size is that the "back" gesture is nearly impossible to use one handed.

is the mix worth anything other than its screen? for the same price is there a better phone?

Shit worded that poorly I meant mid range priced phone

Depends on what you need. For 500 bucks it's a decent flagship phone but mi8 pro is cheaper and has more ram. So most likely there are better phones for the same price, depending on what you look for.

>Shit worded that poorly I meant mid range priced phone
They haven't done that either since the days of the 3T. You worded that poorly as well.

Requesting purchasing advice. Should I get the V20 or V30? I like all the features they offer but none are dealbreakers. Rooting is also not an issue for me.

>USA
>Sprint

>V30. V20 sprint version is locked tight unless you find one still on a super old firmware, but then no security updates. It has way too many issues that's only fixed by having root

What did he mean by this? Thanks for your advice.

Their phones are around £500. I would say they are about high end midrange if you consider the price of iphone xs and samsung s10.

another one

Attached: IMG_20190309_133812.jpg (3012x3871, 2.75M)

What does /spg/ think about wireless chargers? Those pads which you put inbetween the backside and the case, and connect to the usb.

Attached: npcthink.png (420x420, 14K)

another retarded question... which setting would I go into to disable that?

did you use hdr for this?

Nope, I don't use that or the AI setting

fair enough. i thought there would be a bit more detail in the image. dxomark raves about xiaomi image detail. i'm not sold desu.

I'm not sure how good the AI is on Xiaomi phones but you should generally keep HDR on auto for photos.

Why should you bother getting the Note 10 when the S11 will be out a few months later? Screw that the Note 11 will be awesome and out a few months after that desu

The auto exposure did an amazing job in this one, you rarely see phones do this good when there's many light sources of different intensity.

Why are images from the gcam camera double the size compared to the stock camera?

are they the same resolution?

My Mi 8 pro got some scratches on the screen even if I never dropped it. You can only see them against light, but still. I've owned it for 2 months. I don't know about your case, though. Maybe their build isn't as tough as we thought.

yes.

Any non-chink phone with US GSM 4G bands that have good battery life, fingerprint gestures, and remappable buttons? Can't do any Chinese phone and the Asus Zenfone max pro fit the bill but they don't have US bands or a US release dated

Im ok with Japan or Taiwanese phones, just not Chinese including OnePlus.

Attached: 1528150333075m.jpg (1024x681, 210K)

I think Google Pixel 2 / 3 has the fp gesture for swiping the notification drawer down

Need to get my fiancee a new phone, she cares about camera and battery life. Must be an Android, can't be "Huawei" as we both used to have those and they sucked shit. Recommendations?

budget?

Assume price is no object.

Does Gcam work for the selfie cameras too?

Attached: 1522555491885.jpg (600x484, 24K)

Anything under $1000 I guess. I'm not sure any android are asking more than that

depends on your phone, but generally yes.

sweet. Does it make for better videos too?

Note 9

Pixel 3 / 3 XL or the latest iPhone

yes.

Recommend me a good phone that
>has a big display
>is Rootable
>Less than $200
>compatible with metropcs
Thanks in advance.
