The 10 was a decent replacement because the sim-card slot died

Hands fucking down. Wish I had a time machine.

M7 was based as fuck, too

Had the USB go on mine.

It was a great phone though. Whish HTC would actually be relevant again.

Fairphone (any repair costs under $80)
Galaxy S5 (Samsung's peak)

A battery, man. A fucking battery.

:^)

Moto G

Hey! I still have mine, but it overheats and has a faulty battery.

I still use the One mini. The camera went Kapput and recently had to super-glue the strip at the bottom. And sometimes the wake button doesn't respond until i hit the phone into a table or something.Still wouldn't change it for another. The UI is absolute perfection.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4

Attached: xiaomi-redmi-note-4-1-1.jpg (1200x675, 85K)

Loved that curved back.

>giant chin
>and giant double chin with logo
>AND on-screen buttons

jesus. HTC is not the greatest anything, they were pure shit after the very early android days

I hated the design so fucking much. It was a hell to use. I mean, even Redmi 4A is better in terms of design and difficulty if using.
However, it was a freaking glorious bang for a buck.

>if
*Of

im still using a nexus 4 which suits my needs very adequately

Galaxy S5, Everything has been downhill ever since. It had ALL features one could possibly want, and it had LOS available.

The m8 was fantastic I had one for years

"for a buck" a buck, a single fucking buck, thats cheap

I'm back on this after my most recent phone died. Anyone know how to stop the power button being overly sensitive and getting stuck sometimes?

I have to carry it upright in my pocket so it doesn't just restart endlessly but that means I can't listen to music.

A lot of windowsphones were good bang for buck since no one wanted to use windows mobile lol.

Typing from my S5 right now.
Fantastic phone, great size, removable battery, expandable storage, headphone jack, no notch, water resistant, great screen... And cheap new or second hand.
Also getting nightly updates on Lineage OS 16 (Android 9).

Attached: 1549892543142.jpg (249x249, 15K)

What seriously happened to HTC? How did they get JUSTed so hard in recent years?

Attached: Amber Heard.jpg (540x700, 96K)

I miss this design so much. Android 4 era was amazing.

Their cameras weren't particularly great, their software felt like an awkward mix of ICS and Lollipop after material design was implemented, and they released their phones around the same time as other brands like Samsung were releasing their flagships. I used to love my M8, but they just got outdone and fell behind.

what the fuck are you talking about you fucking child?

I had this piece of shit not long ago only to stop using it because the retarded battery stopped holding charge and its too much of a pain in the ass to replace. oh and the htc ui for android is gay.

Poor marketing campaigns + not making courageous moves (removing headphone jack and meme aspect ratios when everyone was doing it) instead sticking to conventional and well proven design with great features (boom sound, good audio DAC) they fell victim to normie market and by trying to recover released overpriced phones after u11 which backfired when technigger roasted them. Really a shame, still have my HTC 10 which is the last good phone they made imho

>Everything has been downhill ever since
Fuck, if that's your opinion, I wonder what you'd think to the other manufacturers' phones.

Ah yes, the moto Jow Forums

They've now gone full retard and are releasing 720p devices for some reason.

thread closed
sony xperia arc s, the greatest design ever.

Attached: sony-ericsson-xperia-arc-1.jpg (750x500, 58K)

It was shit even in 2007.

This one might win. Idk what else to say

But OP, you're wrong, the M7 was hotter in every way.

>Hirr dirr i need 6,1 m2 surface area for mi screen
Chins are much better than holes or notches.

I still use it after 5 years but the battery is atrocious

My daily driver for almost 4 years, I fucking love this phone. Battery issues are my only gripe. Only just replaced it with an Xperia XZ3.

Attached: huawei-nexus-6p-1.jpg (635x600, 82K)

Your battery is +2 years old? Buy newly made. Like end of 2018 or if you can find 2019.

Overheating is the sd801 combined with old battery. Disable gplay auto updates and remove bloatware. Use firefox with addons.

Damn shame, wish they released something like a M7 or M8 refresh. That was the best smartphone design ever, sleek and elegant aluminium chassis with great speaker system and camera

Not me but i think the same. Enjoy high repair costs, locked down, bad battery life on high end chips. (High maintance required on the new era)

Retard

found it while skiing sometime in 2007 and used until 2012, pretty good phone desu

Attached: n95.jpg (858x954, 60K)

Absolutely the same. I actually never owned a samsung because when they were good I was poor and when I stopped being poor they started making shit like everyone else. At least they're keeping the sd slot and 3.5 jack. My next phone probably won't even be a flagship, the performance nowadays is fine even on the mid tier, the ROM matters more than actual hardware.

to date? price point? Pocophone

Samsung actually just started becoming good. I think you never experienced how terrible touchwiz was before.

Still using mine now, it's been a good phone.

Why would I ever use a stock ROM. I specifically mentioned LOS in my post. Samsung started completely locking bootloader on Snapdragon versions and Exynos versions never have the sources released so the ROMs for them are a clusterfuck.

rip WP

Galaxy S5
I would suck off a horse in exchange for being able to buy a brand new one again.

Attached: 1543429831219.jpg (899x650, 208K)

Best one I've used.

Attached: 39efdd7575484c2dfb2f0f95c1510c01-1200-80.jpg (786x442, 43K)

this was my 1st android smartphone, after owning a Nokia E63 for like 3 years this felt like the freaking space age, also
>no front facing botnet
>easily unlockable/hackable(first phone I had to mess with a custom ROM)
>people though it was ridiculously elegant and ginormous back in 2010 (had the cucknadian version w/no gayt&t logo)
>metal back cover, decent camera despite no flash
if samdump had kept the design philosophy of this thing the s4 and s5 would had been epic, fuck, now that my xiaomeme rn4 broke I wish I could get one as replacement, install LOS and use it as dumbphone in steroids but the cucknadian version is R A R E, wish I hadnt gave it away reeeeeee

Attached: goodthumb.php.jpg (300x300, 36K)

Have a 640, nice thingy and unironically better than kekdroid

My S5 is still alive nowadays, though it is showing it's age. I was pleasantly surprised by the hardware endurance through all these years.

yup, my captivate got laggy as fuck 4 months down the road, if it wasnt because of that and my fag bro in law showing off his HD2 meme back then I'd never had messed with custom ROMs I guess

every phone felt like a freakin HD2 dumb cousin with a shitty custom ROM, I had the HTC Inspire back then but it was a hunk of shit, went back to Samdump captivate due to how shitty and clunky it felt, it also got hot as hell

>battery dies

Fixed mine by cleaning it out with compressed air and a tiny bit of contact cleaner
Sadly the gpu and battery died

this was the peak

Attached: z5-compact.jpg (1200x1260, 122K)

I'm using a s6 edge+ and every time I wanna get a new phone I have to remind myself it already has everything I need and runs great, not to mention it's a really nice looking phone.

Original HTC One X, now that was a good phone

I'm still using it, but I switched from Lineage to Ubuntu Touch.

if you do pick one up, Custom Rom is a necessity because the default stopped at Android 6.0

Still have mine and it still works just as new. Really great phone, except for that almost unusable camera.

Does anyone make full-metal frame phones anymore? These must have been some of the last ones. Now all of them are made of shitty frail glass.

Attached: IMG_6645.jpg (3648x2736, 1.57M)

Fuck the nexus 5 and its boot loader problems

>You have to plug a cable to charge it
No thanks

Attached: xperia z2.png (633x473, 108K)

Peak design, comfy af. G2 and X2 where gr8 too.
Hope the notch meme dies and comfy devices with solid hw make a comeback, dont trust Motorola to do it thou. The Moto One is the literal opposite of those devices

HTC One is still comfy AF.

Attached: Screenshot_20190310-123000.png (1080x1920, 1.07M)

Nokia uses solid aluminum blocks to make the frames

My buddy's dad had one of those. Right up until he shattered the screen.

I used to have a 920. I miss the design, but not the OS.

actual low iq retards here. notches weren't even invented yet, but non-shitty phones used the chin space for buttons instead of just nothing. and putting your logo on the chin went out of style in 2010. enjoy your 14:9 usable screen area

I'll always have a special place in my heart for the Galaxy S3. Super comfy phone.

Attached: uk_GT-I9300ZKDBTU_000157272_BLACK_black.jpg (892x684, 56K)

Don't @ me

Attached: PalmCentro.jpg (440x438, 63K)

Physical pressable buttons > Screen buttons > Buttons on the glass.
As for quality if you think thar shit and non-shit phones' differences are logo placement and how the chin is implemented then you're a fucking kid. HTC had the best design, build and screen out there. Give me 1 (one) better flagship phone than the M8 at its release.

Xiami MI8

Attached: Xiaomi_MI8.jpg (1280x720, 66K)

there is nothing great about those botnet devices.

Every smart phone is a botnet device.

Exactly

I'm sure you can still find unopened ones.

I miss the design of the OS, but not the ecosystem.

How did you do it user?

Attached: _.gif (1152x1152, 2.55M)

Galaxy S5, LG G5, LG G4.

This. S5 was comfy.

Except for ATT who locked the fucking bootloader

> be me
> released March 2016
> body of the iPhone 5
> same specs as the 6S
> perfect size for one hand
> faster performance than note 8 in real world use in 2019
> includes Music and Video editing software out of the box (you could edit together a YouTube video
From this one device)
> has headphone jack
> bought for $50 new last year
> be iPhone SE

Attached: A831FC58-F90C-45B0-8EFA-9AA8644177E4.jpg (430x368, 31K)

Jamal...

bullshit you bought it new for $50 last year. i just got one on ebay a few weeks ago 32 GB basically brand new (no scratches anywhere, still 100% max battery) for $70 total

It was a 32gb Verizon prepaid that was clearanced out at Walmart. Despite being prepaid, my regular Verizon SIM card was sufficient for it to activate. Kek.

I believe the normal price of it was $99 for the prepaid variant, but it has since gone up because they are long out of production and have a cult following. It’s one of the best small form factor phones in an endless sea of $1000 phablets.

/this

termux+float

That's exactly why I got mine, needed to upgrade form my iPhone 5S and didn't want a phablet and surprise I could get the iPhone SE, same size with upgraded internals for around $70-80. Got lucky with a perfect condition one on eBay that was T-Mobile locked but could use my mint mobile sim card no problem and it was even on 12.1 soI could jailbreak it. I'll likely be able to sell my 5S for around $50 on top of that

You should have just replaced the battery. My dad has had a 6P since launch day too and the battery started getting shitty 6 months ago. Turning off at ~15%, etc.
New battery kit on amazon was like $15 and it was super easy to replace for him. Don't need to take the screen glass off or anything. Basically good as new now.

using one of these right now. I like it so much that i replaced my craptastic lg v20 with it

Lol I'm writing this very post on my One M8

One of my favourite phone ever.

Anyway what happened with BB? Didn't hear about them for quite a while.

Attached: blackberry-storm-touch-screen-phone.jpg (460x404, 36K)

They make android phones now.

Attached: A95D0BD2-E7A2-462B-8F91-FBF367B9BF9A.jpg (262x550, 26K)

What do we think of the OnePlus 6? Near perfect or actual perfection?

Attached: uploads%2Fcard%2Fimage%2F777116%2F72154279-40b3-424b-81a8-b995c1c96fb8.jpg%2Ffit-in__1440x0.jpg (1440x960, 207K)

Desire Z was really nice, I miss keyboards and thinking about getting the one that's coming soon

Attached: serveimage(6).jpg (3072x2304, 2.52M)

I like my keyone even if it means I'm deranged

nothing confuses me more than people who buy smartphones for hundreds and hundreds of dollars and don't buy a case for it or hell even a glass screen protector.
