Which is superior, dark theme or black theme?

I like dark theme. Black looks cool on AMOLED screens though.

Hot pink with polka dots is best

Black if OLED or VA screen
Dark if any other LCD
Having a full black theme on an LCD just brings out how shitty the contrast in on most all LCDs especially on phone screens

What about screen burn-in on OLEDs?

Black if oled, literally anything else otherwise.
Don't use samsung's autobrightness, it overclocks the screen. Also don't use the AOD meme.

On phones it’s not that really an issue if you’re not on it 24/7 with brightness up all the time
I would never want a desktop OLED monitor but I would gladly take a OLED phone especially if it’s a Samsung panel

Black looks awful.

kawaii and pinkpilled

Microsoft proved Black is shit.

this.

phones = black
anything else = dark

you want a dark neutral gray, like a photographer uses. that why lights and darks in the foreground both pop

Everyone loves the BBC.

Black.

Black is really nice on my s8+, especially on clover as I love to phonepost.

>ambient light turns it into a dark theme

Dark theme, easily. Black creates way too strong contrasts, see Windows 10.

Does that include older phones from Samsung?

>it overclocks the screen
What the fug did I just read
Source?

High brightness mode. If your phone has a panel made by samsung(like 1+ or Pixel) and you don't give a shit about its longevity you can use it too.

Well I don't have this problem because the autobrightness only ever reaches high brightness when I'm outside. I sit in the dark all day.
