>recommending a $500+ CPU without hyperthreading
Cringe

My brothers play basic FPS shooters and I'd like to join them. What is the baseline for 1080p 60fps?

amd 570 and am i3 8100

anything can do 1080 60fps these days
depends on how long you want it to last I guess, I always feel like I got burned going for the cheapest ones, and the next gen of consoles are coming "soon" too

Reminder that 9600k and 2700x and z390/x470 mobo will last the next 5 years and nothing else is worth it

i3 8100 or 2400g?

eh i'd probably swap the rx 570 for a 580. Or even a gtx 1660 ti if you want to play with 100+fps @1080p in demanding games

My monitor is only 1080p/60fps and I just want to buy a pc

8100 is cheaper and faster than a 2400g while gaming
