i didn't know you can ground yourself by touching your case, and when I was building my pc i didn't ground myself once, i just got naked and tried not to make any electricity. i also forgot to install the grate that goes on top of the motherboard inputs, so there's a gap so big that you can stick a finger in and touch the motherboard.

I tend to turn emergency solutions into long term solutions. Using a 130€ monitor I've bought on a whim eight years ago because my old one failed. My audio system consists of a 25 years old Technics stereo radio receiver with a janky balance potentiometer and 15 years old Thomson mini hifi bookshelf speakers, one of which with some sorta old age problem where things start distorting even at low volume and you have to knock against the main speaker membrane to fix it. My keyboard is a god-awful rubber dome Logitech PS/2 unit for like 12 bucks that I've had sitting around in a corner because I accidentally broke my other keyboard. I get my WLAN from a USB dongle. My graphics card has a rattly fan under load so I just play video games less. I have dust filters in my case so it's not terribly bad, but I still haven't cleaned it in three and a half years.

And the picture is what my previous setup looked like before I upgraded a few parts and bought a new case.

I forgot that I run matrix-synapse through a nonstandard conf and let my server be down all day while I worked because systemctl start matrix-synapse kept failing when I needed to start it through a python script

Krita is great for a freelance artist, but in a bigger environment every fucker will send you/expect you to send them .psd files, and then you're screwed.
