Theres multiple alive Overchan forks. Those all work like a breeze. I easily added the features I want to my Overchan. It's the closest experience to a real browser you'll get, having actual tabs etc. It even has a special view for the JSless ReCAPTCHA, making them piss easy to solve on any network.
Meanwhile:

It's a Jow Forums issue, not a Clover issue. Hiro changed the JSON api to update every 30 seconds.
