Balanced is Best
Femanon here.
Nothing gets me dry than seeing a man who is fond of audio stuff.
It is seriously one of the beta hobbies a man can participate in.
Atom+something or topping for a cheap and relatively compact amp/dac?
Should I go for a more expensive one if budget allows?
Tubes?
You're right. The real men blow out their eardrums with shitty cheapass earbuds that have to be turned to max volume to sound half decent.
nope
unless you are getting the based Emotiva A100
why do staxfags only shitpost with fotm seasonal trash anime?
Why is it good?
because it pisses you off
yeah its a headphone amp for Chads
you have terrible taste in anime and headphones
>tfw you just wanna sit home and listen to your STAX all day
like I care what you think
it's true, if your hobby is just being a buypig that's super gay
most gearfags are pretty lame
don't give it attention, it's not even a real femoid
everybody knows its not a real girl, it's an user posting the perspective of a girl and he's right when he said it repulses women
women are disgusted by men who have hobbies like "being an audiophile"
guarantee it's some 5/10 who thinks she's bad
makes me so glad I'm not single
women are also disgusted by men who go on autistic tibetan basket weaving forums :^)
Tits or GTFO. Sharpie in pooper?
>caring what women think
this is why you're a virgin
I mean yeah. they are. I would never tell any girl I come here and I keep it highly secret from my gf. I pretend I don't know most memes.
you are living a lie dude
beta AF
literally cucking to a foid, jfl
LMAO how would that even come up. Not once has GF asked about my internet habits
we've been living together for 3 years and together for 4, at that point pretty much everything is known. I'm too normie to show my habits here though and I only come once in a while now. I don't want the social stigma of this place around me. speaking of that I should probably leave for now.
1st for 1990, they last
@70134785
>larping this hard
Pussy
>social stigma
Most people don't even know what this place is. And even then they sit on fucking Instagram all day. At least we have fun
this isnt fun, it is self destruction.
admit it.

What the fuck
>testing my dac/amp
>try to go to the highest volume to see if there's a distortion
>headphone clips like crazy and stops
>foobar says he had an unrecoverable error
>put volume back to normal and get back to listening
Have i fucked up something?
OwO what is this?
stax or gtfo
I've dumped chicks way hotter than you
Jow Forums where the chads hang out after a hard day of sex lol
maybe for you
Not even close
sex is energy intensive
oh ok dont bother posting anymore then
If anyone even cares about fidelity, try the HE4xx on mass d r o p for $150. Worth every penny.
No shill
plugged directly into that DAP?
Happy MM!
I'm choosing between 2170 and 3100 stax bundles. The first is a bit cheaper (around 150 bucks less) at a store close to me. There are also separate headphones of the previous labda lineup: 207, 307, 407, 507 and 252 amp available.
What would you recommend to purchase among these?
HD600.
2170 desu
I own 3100 and new pads will make it cost even more
Thank you. I do not need another hd600. I have planars and dynamics, want to try estats.
Are l207 much different from l300?
What?
>excessively thick cables ended in XLR
>into a XLR to 3.5 jack
>into that piece of junk of a player
>all of that to listen to a open back headphone outside
I'm imagining the kind of fatass that walks arounf with cables dangling from a karabiner in his cargo shorts while blasting vocaloid lol
oh god no
Those were wired for balanced, 4pin to 3pin XLR converter in line. Have since bought several pairs, and all are As Advertised. Blow my mind.
Miku Monday
Pls, feel free to post better?
Wanting closed back headphones around $150. Are the ATH-Meme50x the best I can hope for at $150?
If I don't hear any hiss I shouldn't bother with a dac, right?
dt770
nope
Nah I think I will
>it's some /v/ gaymur shit
wow
compare to....?
All wired balanced, if u care
Let's see yours!
which one is better
>$1.945
Show me yours first
>Carabiner
>XLR to XLR-3.5mm
>Vacuum cleaner cable
WHat theF UCK+ i -- I was just looking for the smartphone general. I seem to have, this is clearly the wrong thread. Ha-ha. Why did I click on this? Ok, bye!
fine, fuck you too then

I have a set of Sennheiser HD 555's. I like how they're really comfy, but that's about it. I don't like how I can hear noises from my house while using them. For example, I have a window A/C unit I run in the summer and fans I run in spring and fall. I can not have any of them running whenever I am listening to anything on these headphones. It's really annoying. Even when the room is completely quiet, I don't hear the quiet parts of what I'm listening to as clearly as I can hear on literally any set of earbuds. If I cup my hands over the headphones, I hear what I'm listening to much, much more clearly. Also, the cord can't NOT twist itself into a tangle.
Can anyone recommend a quality set of over-the-ear headphones that are comfy and high quality, but which are significantly more sound-isolating/insulating than these? Price range is under $120ish. It would be really nice if I could plug them right into my computer's audio out port.
Maybe - could you make it Sound Good?
What does that have to do with headphones?
i got the jubilees but i think i already fucked this cable so i guess ill get another
is there a cheap solid headphone amp i should look at to pair these with? im really just wanting it so i can separate my headphones from my computer on the ground and not blow the next cable
can you rate the soundstage for all 4 of them in order?
got these HD1's off a rec from here actually saved 50 bucks cause they were only listed for $99 and when the guy i purchased them from put another up he listed for the same price on aliex, so thanks user for saving me money and getting me the best pair of headphones ever i can really tell the difference with the EQ on spotify but im not sure how to set it up should i get an amp or something?
chifiman strikes again
It's music?
I get mad ear wax production when i use my headphones, anyone else?
Any else wear glasses and get pain at the back of their ears wearing headphones?
i used to but then realize my earpad was flat and needed to be changed.
I get pain from living
as a basshad, what is my upgrade path after tr-x00, please no stax recs.
EQ or kannons (or both)
>he doesn't already own stax
207-407 are very well regarded and don't need mods.
Tubes are a meme. Just get a D10 if you are going to use it with a PC else get a D30 or D50. All perform flawlessly
tubes can be godly if you have the time to research and learn your amps. For DACs though, no, not at all.
Comfiest headphones? No more than $200 preferably.
Panasonic RP-HJE125
>not owning Creative Soundblasterx g6
What's your excuse if you have spent less than 200$ on a DAC/amp ?
Opinion on the Beyerdynamic DT 770? Thinking of getting it.
not good
Elaborate?
