seriously though I fucking hate American ISPs so god damn much. $40 a month. $40 a month for this bullshit. And that's just the """""promotional""""" rate - the normal rate is fucking $70.
What speeds you get, Jow Forums? How much you pay?
I’m american with municipal fiber. I pay $62 a month for symmetrical fiber gigabit. Its an introductory rate but the last two years i just called and asked them to renew it and they did. Normally it would be 100 megabit up/down for that price.
Honestly I don’t need more than 50 mbps. I could probably live with as low as 30 mpbs
Our city had to go to court with the state government because they had an ISP cocksucker law made to stop us. The city won and now i can download chinese cartoon porn very fast
All joking aside its very useful to have my raw photography upload to onedrive nearly instantly once I transfer it to my computer. Other than that i just don’t notice it. Steam games download pretty fast too i guess. I just play single player games so i don’t notice the 2ms ping that the FPS folks rave about
I'm paying $75/mo for 80Mb/s download on a military base in Korea. Feels pretty cucked given that this country is supposed to have some of the fastest speeds in the world but LGU can charge whatever the fuck they want because they're our only choice for internet
Adam Stewart
If it's a US base it's their payback for being American
Isaiah Thompson
Fuck these threads, I already posted in one like this just an hour ago, now it's gone.
Completely pointless and irrelevant circlejerk shit.
Mason Lopez
>tfw you live 1 block away from fiber coverage, so i have to settle for ADSL
they say they expect to reach my house by mid 2019 or early 2020, so there's still hope... also, no demand because where i live, most neighbors are elders, so the isps don't give a shit about expanding here
Ryder Fisher
Because DOCSIS can't reliably provide more without heavily sacrificing download bandwidth.
At least not until your ISP upgrades to DOCSIS 3.1 full duplex
Sebastian Morgan
I'm from Brazil, and today my internet is slow for some reason (pic related) It reaches 120Mb/s on download and 10Mb on upload. I pay 20 US dollars for it btw..
adsl2+ pic related Been trying to upgrade to NBN™ fttn since november last year. Since then I've had the booking for the work postponed 3 times, the fucking monkey has just not showed up twice and on Monday, they disabled the adsl connection on the line. Currently filling out the fuckng telco ombudsman form while operating off of 35gb of pajeet customer service free mobile data. I fucking hate telstra
25/5 for $70 (canadian), yes, really. i live in the literal worst province. also 90% of the time it's actually 10/1 because fuck you. look at that stability. fucking beautiful.
25€ for 1gbyte ps download (i get only 600mb) 100 mbyte ps upload ping 15~
Camden Howard
>25€ for 1gbyte ps download (i get only 600mb) >>only
user can i have a little bit of that, 5-10 ;_;
Grayson Nguyen
sure, take a trip to sardinia we have fiber and military presence the hillbilly rednecks are the only downside
Colton Peterson
As someone that lived with 1-50mbit for a decade on wireless 4g it's garbage don't do it. Bigger downloads 50gb+ take over a day peak time speeds and upload is dogshit.
European here getting ~40 Mbps download and 5~6 Mbps upload am paying 25BAM every month, that's around 15USD >inb4 3rd world country i have better and cheaper internet than you
Benjamin Howard
>sardinia You live close to africa and muslims, how is their presence there?
13$ per month for 150Mbps unlimited internet Pajeetland ain't too bad
Landon Lewis
>dumb attention whoring anime pedo slav scum >Get on my level ;) No, thx.
Ryder Cruz
we never had major problems with nigerians; they limit themselves at selling drugs and asking for money, same thing goes for gipsyes muslims presence is scarce and harmless, we aren't an easy target for their heavenly mission of peace
Elijah Campbell
Paying for 100/40, $100AU
It's FTTN so cant complain about the NBN lottery, next tier lower is something like 50/20and I'd rather pay more for what I'm getting
Hows your download speeds from international sites? Apparently Aussie gets has good CVC but does it translate to international performance? Mine is about 350KB/s with Vodafone and iiNet.
literally me in both speeds and being cucked by fiber
Brody Scott
Um. I pay 65 a month for uncapped gigabit fiber in Florida. No promo rate it's same price forever. We'll see in five years though.
Aiden Thompson
Thanks for you IP addresses, I've put them into my botnet (a network of hacked computers). :^)
Lucas Stewart
between you faggots and the EPB people in Tennesee I'm super fucking jelly
paying $50/mo for a fucking 100/10 and tons of jitter so I can't even run a VoIP box at home.
honestly the fact that this country has so much fucking dark fiber and the only thing stopping these niggers from lighting it up is a little competition should be a crime
Jow Forums needs to start their own ISP, this random dude managed to
I'm meant to be getting 100mbit but I'm only getting 35-45 after moving to the NBN.
I love Australia, I love being forced to downgrade my service and having to wait fucking weeks to hear back from a "technician" after having 2 months worth of delays getting NBN installed in the first fucking place.
Lol, my friend is paying for 100/100 and he is getting literal dial up speeds, it's been 8 years. Count yourself lucky.
Thomas Nelson
You have to rent your ONT? My ISP supplies the ONT to the property for free, you just bring your own router, or rent their router.
Ian Stewart
What is the point?
Austin Wright
They're going to be calling me tomorrow, tempted to quote the ACCC document on broadband speeds and be a little cunt asking for compensation of some kind.
Kevin Cooper
I think it's a package deal. I can buy it for $150 or do the lease. All I know is I have to return both devices to remove the $10 fee. I don't need the router as I have some already. Surprised at how nice it is though considering Comcast gives people some Xfinity branded pieces of shit that locks it down and forces the Xfinity Wifi meme. What's the point of what? The speed and low latency are glorious. I actually use it. Eight households rely on my Plex/Emby server for service. Usenet is primary with torrent as last resort in my automation. It helps. Seeding is another charitable thing I partake in with all the content I'm downloading on a daily and even monthly basis. It's comfy.
Justin Turner
It has to be done, give the middle finger to big telco brooooooooo
$100 Aus bucks for 50/20 VDSL2 Sync at 40/15 This is the nbn network of the future that won’t be upgraded until 2030 minimum However, if I had HFC, FTTdp or FTTP that’d be great
Hudson Jones
I pay 180 burger dollars for a 30Mbps unlimited connection per year. I get about 20Mbps in reality. Gas the kikes!
