All I have running is fortnite and a youtube video in chrome and im getting frame skipping in fortnite to where I cant play. But If i close chrome its good.
Is it my ram or my cpu?
I already have 8gb of ram and i thought 8gb of ram was more than enough?
my cpu is i5 2400 3.1 ghz
im not getting any frame drops in fortnite its just skipping and is unplayable
The whole computer as a whole is a bottleneck, You're running a computer with a processor from 2011. That's the second generation Corei7 lineup. You might need a much more powerful graphics processor or you can try a different web browser, if it does the same thing there, its probably your graphics card.
Sebastian Sanders
ram is fine, cpu is shit m8.
Dylan Gutierrez
my gpu is fine dude i turned all the setting on fortnite to lowest everything why would i need a better graphics card
ok so i was gonna buy a new processor then
should i or should i get 16 gb of ram
David Stewart

William Howard
>All I have running is fortnite and a youtube video in chrome >windows >fortnite >youtube >chrome nigga you are either 12 or this is the worst b8 i have ever read
Stop being retarded and stop playing a video and videogame at the same time, you either play or watch the youtube video.
David Stewart
>just watching a YouTube video >chrome.exe (14)
William Garcia
We can't possibly guarantee 100% that getting extra RAM is going to fix your problem, it's just the most likely fix.
And if you're on an old PC, you're going to be getting DDR3 for it, whereas when you decide to upgrade you'll probably need DDR4, so you can't then bring the extra RAM you might buy now to that build. If you're that poor, that's something you need to consider as well.
Jayden Cook
Why do you need to play a videogame and watch youtube videos at the same time?
Ryder Bennett
Now THAT is what I call bite. *turns 360 and goes away from the thread*
Asher Gray
thats my thing dude how can anyone do only 1 thing at a time
i would go crazy i need multiple forms of entertainment blasting at me at all time
or twitch streams always running in the background
Not him, but just gaming alone doesn't have the stimuli I need. I gotta have some sort of stream/YouTube video/audio book going or its just not enough.
Hunter Green
>using windows >running jewchrome and fortnight >you guys why is 8gb not enough
i barely watch twitch anymore i watch iceposeidon.com
ok fuck off i know theyre sjw faggots predominantely
Landon Peterson
I'd just use a different browser if I were you, or stop being autistic and close chrome while playing. You can play you gay ass linus shill tips on your phone or something. Save you money for an actual upgrade, like a memezen 2600 + the proper RAM and whatnot.
Hunter Butler
I'm 26 and already feel really out of touch with zoomers. I'm starting to feel like a boomer.
Michael Bailey
Buy new cpu i7 and use waterfox Or maybe try reinstalling fortnight & nvidia drivers & geforce exprince
Blake Watson
It's called not being a low IQ NPC that is easily entertained the the simplest lowest common denominator garbage. People with more active minds need more stimulation to stay entertained, just like how my Threadripper can do games but can also do ffmpeg stuff without a sweat.
Charles Phillips
>Fortnite
Lack of testicles is your bottleneck.
Brandon Cook
Stop using YouTube to listen to music while you play. Use actual mp3 files or Spotify or something.
YouTube on chrome uses CPU and GPU resources you don't have and will cause stutters. You can even see it in your task manager, you're using over 1 fucking gig of ram to play music when music should be using 0.02gb.
Nathan Peterson
>Fortnite Found your problem. If you have to play games, try something that isn't an unoptimized pile of shit.
Jose Barnes
get 16 gigs, 8 gb is shit for multitasking
Luis Turner
Beat it zoomer.
William Russell
close your fucking browser nigger if you want to listen to gay ass music while playing use your phone
