tell me im not old user
Does software count? Holy shit do boomers love Excel. If you work in an office environment with a boomer, they'll use Excel for anything. They never actually use formulas or scripting. They just put text into the cells and resize it to make pretty tables, but god damn do they want to send around Excel files for fucking everything. I once tried to explain what version control does (Subversion at my work place) and a boomer asked me why we use some obscure software they've never heard of before and just track it all in Excel.

This is a bad thread
>Mom, your phone already has a camera in it that's better than that one
>I know it doesn't have a viewfinder, but... uhh nevermind.
It's scary to think, but I imagine there are people browsing Jow Forums right now who have no idea what this is.
Fuck, I need a controller like this to play Sega Genesis games properly.
This, mono is better.
Overhead projector, I remember my teachers used them in elementary school before they started getting smart boards in like 2010. They'd go over worksheets on it and they'd write on these cool transparent versions of them.
t. zoomer
they remove "," and put backspace
fucking retards
Pfft, that one looks newer than any of the ones we ever had. Too much molded plastic. They broke out an ancient slide projector when it came time to show the STD pictures in Health class.
everybody knows what a retroprojector is faggot
when i'm in a room where one of these things is on it feels strange how normies still passively stare and listen at the awful crap and 10 minutes of ads every 20 minutes or so
low iq people get especially obsessed with lottery game shows where people win crap
we call that "infocus" here
too bad no case actually looks like that..
bread and circus fiddling etc
Yeah it must be the TVs themselves. I think you're on to something.
Literally nothing wrong with excel you fucking NEET. I hate boomers too but excel is an extremely useful piece of software.
I unironically own and use one of these.
>entering numbers in a spreadsheet without a numberpad
kill yourself nigger
What? School I went to like 5 years ago had these in almost every classroom.
Why is this refrigerator on its side?
Highest selling video game console of all time
They call it a PS2 because when you see it, you turn 2pi radians and walk away.
my ochem prof used this instead of a whiteboard. best prof i ever had. if i ever have to teach classes i'm busting out this boomer tech
>when my uni replaced the analogue Siemens oscilloscopes with 100% digital ones
Even some of the teachers agreed they were either shit or overkill for what we used them.
We have used digital oscilloscopes for more than a decade.
Why would anyone want analog these days?
Overhead projectors are great, most of the time smart boards are overkill for the stuff you want to do with them
>2 valve pushrod
its like a tractor engine from the 1940s lmao
i didnt know this existed. i always wanted to get one of those small keyboards without a numpad so i could position it better against my big mousepad but didnt want to give up the numpad (i use it all the time). might get one of these to put off to the side
Don't get the boomer cheap retractable cable one, they have mechanical ones
The absolute irony of the entirety of this post is staggering.
t. autist
watch out, some of them send the scancodes for regular numbers instead of numpad numbers. Most things don't care but some things differentiate. I have a Leopold numpad with cherry blues that does this.
Do any send actual numpad numbers? I can't do the alt+numpad ASCII characters with mine.
>i always wanted to get one of those small keyboards without a numpad so i could position it better against my big mousepad but didnt want to give up the numpad (i use it all the time).
Get yourself a programmable keyboard.
If you got one with QMK firmware you could program it to send numpad scan codes.
this
Higher resolution
XY mode
This. It's got a very low barrier of entry, which is why boomers love it. Haven't seen a single boomer properly use excel though, and most of Jow Forums doesn't know it's uses either.
Ayyy the middle finger projector
>tfw when I was the first person in my entire school to buy one
Demented and refuses to take his pills
These are still fucking convenient.
Fucking computers with no disc trays annoy the shit out of me.
I used one of these recently.
Honestly, use an up to date VBA manual instead. Excel without VBA is for masochists.
Verbatim is the pinnacle of DVD reliability, retard.
These will resurge more when people realise it's convenient to be able to mod the inside of what is in the case.
Does using a fuckton of periods as ellipsis count as technology? Shit, even my dad does it....... and he's 46 and otherwise very articulate.... pisses me off........
Pretty handy for a POS you know.
Still useful.
People using powerpoints in class tend to release them to kids and so the kids never took proper notes and didn't learn shit.
are you kidding me? Why would you ever use that over a flash drive?
>some of them send the scancodes for regular numbers instead of numpad numbers
Wait, seriously? Thats a new level of retarded if true.
I hate my mother for leaving mine out in the rain "accidentally".
I DON'T BELIEVE YOUR LIES YOU WHORE.
Because you still have CDs and shit you want to burn.
Because content played on a Blu-ray player tends to play better than on a disk drive.
More handy and reliable than computer+powerpoint+projector.
>tfw I was the first kid in class to print out images/graphs etc. from the internet to plastic sheets (or whatever they were called) and used them for a presentation on an overhead projector.
I got mad pussy that day.
be a shame if something of hers were to be left in the rain... just saying...
Just leave her in the rain when she's old.
Having it on your keyboard is still quite handy tho
taking notes is overrated
She does like that new sofa set of hers...
No it isn't. Hand writing the notes has proven to be more effective than typing the notes.
We don't learn as much from typing things. We tend to just copy.
When hand writing, you paraphrase things to make writing it quicker, hence you need to understand it to paraphrase it.
So boomer technology is all the stuff that actually works and is convenient. Wow, really opened my eyes.
>turn 2pi radians and walk away
bruh how do i into measurement of rotation n shieeet
That's the fuckin joke you troglodyte, haven't you heard people say "turn 360 degrees and walk away" before
My nigga. Zip drives were amazing back in the day.
Schools still use them except now they use USB attached ones.
yes, mainly americans, after which they might be heard to remark that they "could care less"
>i was only pretending to be retarded
This is some Blade Runner tier analog tech.
I remember one of these in math classroom. But it was used like once in a while just to show an opened book or something. Because we had smart boards and projectors since like 2008
I can't tell if this is serious or the next step of bait in the joke.
Useful for drivers on new builds
>Is that an wifi cable?
I like that case actually
no, there some truth here alright. Misusing excel as dbase, fair enough, thats traditional. But using it (solely) instead of word, then getting creative and DTP'ing etc, needs vehemently discouraged. Its MS fault, can probably google 'how to add autoplay vdeos to excel cell?' and shit, complete nonsense
I had new teachers use this because it taught kids better.
