I just wanna program bros what is this impossible shit

learn to love math, bro

>when you pass all the math classes that your classmates hate but fail programming classes

stop being brainlet lul

should've enrolled in software engineering and not math or compsci or whatever it is you chose.

We learned 3 languages first year and are learning 3 more this year, although 2 of those are c# and JS which are part of web development. We will learn C++ as a dedicated course.

>didn't even have to take calc 2
Zoomers are THIS entitled. Imagine what the next generation will say.

>tfw good at math
how do I learn to program bros? It's unintuitive to me

Can you not enroll in computer science courses?
Otherwise I'm certain the internet has lots of resources to learn programming.

>year 1 uni
That's your first mistake. Clear your gen eds out at a community college if possible.
>all those math courses
Check course requirements every time. I suck ass at math too and was livid when I found out my uni only needs Calc 1 for math to actually get in.

Just learn and grid bitch

>the absolute state of programming tards

>I just want to make videogames

>school's CS program doesnt have any maths as core/major units
>have to manually add mathematics to my degree so I can get a masters/phD in a worthwhile university (if i chose to do one at all)
Its all so tiresome, I just want to do data science and work for google and make big boy moneys

Why is my uni trying to make me do retarded shit? they even have 2 different majors : "Software development" & "Software Design" which are so vague that you wouldnt even know the difference on first glance - but have complete polar outcomes

Here is my Core unit outline :
>Computer and Logic Essentials
>Introduction to Programming
>Creating Web Applications
>Networks and Switching
>Fundamentals of Data Management
>Professional Issues in Information Technology

And my Major units (software development):
>Object-Oriented Programming
>User-Centred Design
>Data Structures and Patterns
>Interface Design and Development
>Software Development for Mobile Devices
>Creating Secure and Scalable Software

These are the units i need to fucking complete to get by bachelors degree
I have only about 100points (8 units) in 3 years that I can ad to this, Im sure to pick maths and atleast one data science units
>inb4 hur dur I know where you go to

Odds are they all gave prerequisite courses that are locking him out. I had to take a basic bitch C++ intro as a transfer course only to end up doing a separate one once I got in to my uni since the transfer one equates to the Intro to Computers one that doesn't even cover a single programming language.

Bitch and moan user, literally only way to get anywhere in higher education

i found those classes to be entertaining tbqh

Just read the textbook.

Any good engineering school will make you at least take Calc I to Calc III, Linear Algebra, Discrete, and a Probability/Stats. All the eng courses will be easier than their CS/Pure Math counterparts but it's still a decent amount of math.

>counting? oh, come on, we gotta do a course on couting things? As in: 1, 2, 3, ...?
Turns out counting is really, fucking hard. Fuck generating functions, and fuck discrete maths. It's really cool shit, but why this gotta hurt so much in the brains?

Attached: 3sTF1qddgvl.jpg (400x300, 15K)

It's """"computer science + applied maths"""
I was expecting mostly programming wit hsome maths but noooo we gotta be the next john carmack

>unintuitive
I think that's a thing you have to develop

I had C++ first semester. Which school are you going to?

Me too, I'm just counting the math

cause it more depends on your teacher rather than subject itself. i passed calc 1 and nuclear + molecular physics but failed at botanics, cause teacher was dickhead.

I miss my freshmen years the most.
If I were given a chance to jump back in time (excluding jumping back as a toddler or jumping back just too but BTC and hodl until 19k) is go back to my freshmen years

Yeah freshman years, the year you parted with your parents for good.

Math classes are there to filter out brainlets like yourself. If you think that the first year math classes are hard then you're not cut out for this industry. Just be a "sex worker", only way a cunt like you could contribute to society is by sucking the dicks of lonely old fags for a living

thats literally me right now, im in my own apartment but im pretty lonely
no friends and i barelly go on Jow Forums anymore (maybe 3 or 4 times a week)
Whats so good about freshman ?
People are fucking boring and the classes are the only fun thing in my life

>t. no engineering thought so sticks to memorising useless shit all day
Math doesn't make interfaces. Math doesn't make design patterns. Math doesn't help write fast code.
Math is just there so teachers can earn a salary.

again but in english

Bah

math made all of those things possible in the first place, stop trying to be a coder and stick to what you're good at: chocking on wrinkled old dicks

Because a lot of people's parents grew up with a shit life based on wage cucking and they tell their kids college is the time for partying.

>year 1 physics
>calc, linear algebra, theoretical physics
>year 2
>no frickin idea because I failed all my classes lmao

I just wanna be a nerdy scientist bros what is this impossible shit

Attached: why.gif (56x56, 128K)

There is literally nothing math-based in any of what I said. The first math that appears is at the hardware level but again, that's real life engineering, not "bro check out my prime number homomorphisms"

either way it doesn't matter, you'll be filtered out like the trash you are, and you'll be forced to suck dicks for a living in order to survive. I guess i'll be seeing you regularly at local truck stop glory hole

No, you'll just be another mediocre 28 year old graduate with no applicable skills or specialisations.

and you'll be sucking the dick of a mediocre 28 year old grad with no applicable skills or specialisations

I'll be too busy dabbing and flexing on people who wasted all time memorising theorems and proofs that have already been discovered instead of picking up a trade.

say that again but with my dick in your mouth

Yeah but these cunts are saying it like it was first hand experiance, so im asking ... what was so fucking good about it ?
Im using up 3-4 years to study again just so I couldt make a bit more money - unless i go work for google

So fucking angsty lmfao.

>no friends
Never really had friends so I couldn't relate.
>Whats so good about freshman ?
Learning basic stuff and feeling big brained. Like at the top of that level of confidence / level of competence plot I keep forgetting the name of.
Otherwise, I miss the opportunity, before I fucked it all up. Like missing what I could have been compared to what I became.
But all of this crying over spilled milk is nil when I consider I missed being a crypto billionaire during the coin craze because I didn't listen to Jow Forums and shitposted instead of mining Bitcoin.

reddit
whats with the phallic fixation ?

You probably would've been scammed out of your crypto cash.

its called the dunning krugger effect I think, what sucks is im at the lowest point right now, I already experienced my high and now am going into 1st year

Yeah no use beating yourself up over something so trivial dude, just make sure you learn from your mistakes old man

>old man
oof

Its funny, I felt so old back when I was 18 , now that im 19 I feel so young starting University and getting a breath of fresh air.
Same with you, you sound old and dwell on the past even though I bet you are less then 30

>Program
You are kidding man, you gotta look at another perspective. If you cant planned ahead and solve problem how can you really program.
Learn to love math in your own way. Try uderstand it in your own way. Its OK to stay another year.
I stay undegrad for 6 years (most course is about 4 to 4.5 yrs for undergrad) to finally be good at basic math and programming. (Im in mechatronics engineering course though).

Dont be too sad not everyone is the same, there are many kind of intelligence

Yeah. But Jow Forums shilled Bitcoin hard and I didn't listen. Plus I wouldn't have bought stuff, just mining on a laptop was enough when 1 BTC was like 25 USD or something.
LMAO I am learning painfully. At least I'm not as JUSTed as those people who sold everything at $100

Uh just stop bye

Are you me

Based F.O.B poster

It's not that hard

Less than 30 but not for long. And the nostalgia for the freshman year is here to stay. Just look at how Terry Davis was nostalgic if his ASU years.

I took IT instead of CS because of the bullshit math requirements, though didn't take away the stupid gen ed requirements in that area. That's how colleges get ya for 4,5,(in my case 6) years, the god damn extra requirements.

What exactly are you nostalgic of ?

>Math doesn't help write fast code.
You absolute retard. Should just drop out at this point.
Year 2 is going to be worse, man.
>complex analysis
Now this is a meme. One of the few math branches that doesn't have any applications in CS.

Sadly this.

We had a prof who ask as random question about a topic, which we will learn at this leasson???
You think who doesn't know the answer, the prof would say k , next student but no, he ask them till you cry.
Fucking Retard.

>first year computer science
>maths is just simple matrices, Taylor polynomials, and set theory

A 14 year old who studied calculus for a week or two beforehand would be able to do this shit.

All of computing can be simplified to mathematics. If you have no aptitude for mathematics, chances are you are not logical, and have no aptitude for how computer systems work.
The point is to avoid having poor developers graduating, who put together shitty code and churn out a shitty end product.
The vast, overhwelming majority of current developers are completely and utterly bereft of any inkling as to how that plastic box in front of them actually works, the world doesn't need any more of them.

i dunno, i just like dick, is that crime?

Can't even learn ML without calc 2, lmao

>Paying money to learn a language
Yikes!
It's the superior choice user. Mathematics is the cornerstone of all science. Embrace the way it'll teach you to think in an abstract way.

>tfw second time taking intro to comp org
>still can't write assembly ARMv8

CS is 80% math, 15% theoretical shit, and 5% programming bros

>I just wanna program bros
The reason why they don't teach you programming-related topics until later is because they need to add a shitton of extra things to pad out four years of college in order to make as much money as possible from you
