Is the open-source Anaconda Distribution the easiest way to perform Python/R data science and machine learning on Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X?

I didn't know you needed a distribution for that
It's fucking terrible, user.
Just get one of those Keras docker images and connect to it.
I like spyder but fuck anancoda desu
works for me desu
yes
>Just get one of those Keras docker images and connect to it.
those keras docker images will already have anaconda on them
>those keras docker images will already have anaconda on them
True, but at least everything is pre-installed.
It's not great, but the best there is.

I always used anaconda but I just figured out that it's useless, just install python3 and then pip install jupyter-notebook/tensorflow/numpy...etc
This, it drives me nuts that there are several versions of python/pip and libraries in the same system.
Managing a Python installation with many packages across several platforms is a major chore.
can someone explain why python has decided that every common term must have 10 different meanings. axis, array, dimension, object, size, element, table, all mean like 30 different things. why is python like this? ive never run into this issue in another language or libraries to this extent
>python has decided
Python decided? How many different meanings does "python" have?
It's a common form of sloppy thinking...
Wat? Can you list some of the different meanings for "object" or "array" to illustrate?
If you're doing basic shit then Jupyter and R Studio on any OS is fine.
If you get to the point where you need to SSH into a server to do big data stuff then do not use windows if you value your sanity.
I'm in a senior level big data class and the extra bullshit all the Win users have to do is pathetic.
I’m in a datascience class at UNI. We use anaconda Jupyter notebook
>imagine being this much of a codelet that you don’t know the difference between an object and an array
No, Emacs is.
The only time anaconda has really been useful for me is when I have to switch between different versions of tensorflow for multiple different projects. Otherwise you could probably just use pip or miniconda.
>Python/R
>data science
just use C or fortran you fucking fag !
Anaconda for windows is complete trash. It's amazing just how hard it is to actually get it to start without crashing
VBA with microsoft excel.
