Why this? Is it friendly enough with low hardware?
Nigger what the fuck
It's a pain to install anything on this device. I don't want my pain to be multiplied thanks

Debian netinstall, choose LXDE as your DE. Optionally, remove systemd later. Jessie consumed considerably more memory than Wheezy, I believe systemd is to blame. Install stretch, then sed -i 's/stretch/buster/g' /etc/apt/sources.list && apt-get update ; apt-get dist-upgrade -y

BTW, literally just found that page via a "random page" link.

Testing has entered full freeze just this week, I see no reason to not upgrade.
> dwm
I have no idea what dwm is or does, sorry.
No, I mean it's a meme, but for real, I don't. WMs don't have floating windows, I believe? Anyway, ease of use is important, eee PC isn't that ancient to not have additional 100MBs of RAM.
Colton Moore
I think I'll try this, thanks
I actually tried this shit right now, but there's something wrong with iso so it can't be booted. I think I'm not gonna try this again... never...

Except XP is dead and modern software may not even run on it.
> inb4
I have no idea what software exactly, because I don't use XP.
Ryder Sullivan
it still has more working software than linux
Xavier Green
Call me when it gets at least some drivers for my old af legacy Quadro K2100M.
Evan Bailey
win7 has drivers for it, and the performance would be much better than linux. you would also be able to run some software instead of ricing your desktop wallpaper 24/7. why are you gimping yourself with that shit os?
Brody Brooks
You won't understand. Windows has no:
- dd
- Native SSH tools
- privacy respect
- disk encryption with headers on another disk
Meanwhile, Linux got Steam, Keepass, Chromium, Firefox, RDP client, wine/winetricks for software like iLO - everything I need. It fullfills my needs for every piece of software better than any Windows.
Carson Nelson
DWM has a floating window mode
