When Jow Forums finally recommended something good

>when Jow Forums finally recommended something good

I used to browserhop on Android so much until I used Brave. You guys were right. It just works and it's open source.

We didn't. It's botnet. Go away shill.

Kiwi

It's shit until it starts supporting uBlock Origin

>chromium
>supporting any plugins

Yeah, I know. Until then all webview browsers are unusable trash.

They are fast though

Welcome to the Botnet.

Irrelevant.

totally relevant

Not open source

ok

for the fucking millionth time, STOP ADVERTISING THIS PIECE OF SHIT HERE, nobody gives a shit about your spyware, get customers using paid ads and partnerships

Literally on GitHub.

its botnet, worse than google. no one would recommend it

Attached: 4196477709.png (258x253, 7K)

The source isn't on GitHub. Just the binaries.

works on my machine

what web browser isnt botnet?

Brave

There is no such thing as "worse than google"

Use Ghostery App on Android.
> Can add uBlockOrigin and others addons.
> Combined with Blokada App, it's OK.

Bromite

yes there is, its google + even more botnet, what brave is. brave is literally google + custom botnet

>chromium with ad blocker

Brendan you should take a crash course on shilling on Jow Forums.

Anyone using Brave (mobile and desktop) is letting Brave, Google and Cloudflare view every single link they click fyi

IP/replies is totally not accurate and doesnt say anything. it could be literally anything. theres literally no proof i am shilling brave. take off your tin foil hat right now

but you are the same paid shill who starts new shill Brave thread every fucking day, Brave uses aggressive advertising using paid shills and partnerships on countless websites (not to mention the ads)

there is no point of arguing, you get paid to do that shit, you make a living off paid shilling, I myself have contacted countless people like you via producthunt, twitter and freelance websites and I can tell when it's a shill and when it's not, Brave shilling on Jow Forums is systematic on a daily basis and most of the threads are almost identical

no u. you have literally no proofs. fuck off retard

Nah I just like making you freak out over "shills"

proof?

The whole point of railing against the botnet is to attempt to curtail it's Orwellian potential. Google engages in the orwellian all the time. Brave is literally who.

>What are zombie cookies and what is fingerprinting

Non ironically Chrome is harder to track than brave. Read into entropy.

>it's an ad-driven browser that panders to advertising agencies with a blockchain-redistribution scheme while pretending to be ethical by hardcoding deprecated web extensions into it's core (https everywhere & adblock plus)

>and contains a ledger system that anonymously measures user attention aggregate to accurately reward publishers.

Why are you continuing to promote it then, unless you have a vested interdast.

It's been proven to have a mechanism that monitors users browsing in order to sell ads. And the developers are heavily promoting it's use in order to build it's profile so they can get paid by the advertisers.

So if you aren't getting some form of financial restitution for promoting it then the alternative is you're very naive and simply don't understand the very basics of how browsers and tracking online works.

So which is it?

100% lies. brave is clean of botnet. its the best browser available now

totally not paid shill

But please, provide me quantifiable proof. I'll wait.

>unironically believing some paid retards on the internet
yeah no, your sources are as reliable as pope saying god exists

Based
Filtered

what's the alternative

privacy? ff
features? vivaldi
speed? chrome
if you dont like them, try forks. you have plenty of alternatives

>>unironically not getting paid for your free promotion of an ad driven browser while the devs are making bank off users browsing habits

I don't think I'm the naive 1 here m8. Keep on plugging on tho, maybe you'll hit paydirt one day. I'm sure they'll pay a commission.... eventually.

Nice permissions.

Which one is more botnet (on Android);
Brave or Opera?

Attached: opera logo.jpg (225x225, 7K)

>please use our botnet and view our ads not googles
no thanks, fagtard.

But it says it's fast and quiet right there, why are you complaining?!

> using a botnet browser by the guy who got kicked out of mozilla for inventing javascript

Brave just werks.

would you just stop bumping your own shill thread whenever it's about to be removed?

I don't trust any browser that's not on fdroid.

If I promise to open at least 2 threads per day on here saying how kewl Brave is and how much it respects your privacy and then defend these claims with pointless adhoms can I too get paid 0.01 net-sheckles plz?

gross whore

just werks

>not trusting bromite

They just ruined the layout on mobile

People are begging them to make it optional already.

github.com/brave/browser-android-tabs/issues/1345

could be used by one person, doesnt change its still a botnet

The fact that it wasnt optional in the first place makes me believe this change is going to be permanent

How fucking dumb are you?
github.com/kiwibrowser/android

They will change their mind when they see how many people have pressed that like button.

>>How fucking dumb are you?
>github.com/kiwibrowser/android
You're the dumb one.

>No. The browser is not fully open source like open in open source. It is a common myth and misconception about Kiwi Browser. If it will be on F-droid, then it will be good cause have to provide full source code about everything without hiding anything.

github.com/kiwibrowser/android/issues/30

>My 2 cents: the bigger issue is that this repository here does not contain all the patches needed to build Kiwi :) so Kiwi is not open source, but by having the github repository here it looks like it is.

>I think it would be fair to mention somewhere that the source code used to build Kiwi is not available anywhere (which is required to call it open source); I have seen it already mentioned together with Bromite as "open source browsers" in many places online, hence my comment here.

github.com/kiwibrowser/android/issues/12

Just like the dark mode suggestion from two years ago?

this actually breaks the user experience, unlike that feature request

No one else Opera Touch ?

Attached: Screenshot_Opera_Touch_20190317-082253.png (1080x1920, 707K)

Sounds like a waste to of time. I just switched to bromite and I'm not looking back.

Enjoy your black screens

Have they finally fixed the issue that you can’t open new tabs anymore?
It’s virultually useless now.
I’m afraid of updating it since it might just get even worse.

>you can’t open new tabs anymore?
Works for me. You blind or something?

I do.
It’s better than standard safari, but it’s not perfect. They have a lot of good ideas on tab management but it’s not there yet. Especially it when you have routinely more than three tabs in use.

Long press on links doesn’t do anything anymore, unless you have JavaScript turned on
on ios
>Long press on links doesn’t do anything anymore
It works for me on Android, pleb.

With JavaScript off?

Yep just tried it with javascript turned off globally.

imagine the smell

bumperu

Luckily there is a browser on Android that already has that.
It's called Firefox. And it's actually not shit on Android.

>It's called Firefox. And it's actually not shit on Android.
It's slow and you know it

no

Oh well, guess that’s what I get for running superior iOS.
Maybe I’ll try the update.

Fuck off
