I had a windows phone for around 2 years and grew to hate the black all over the UI. Its fucking horrid, especially when they pair it with your "highlight" colour or whatever they call it. Looks like ass.

TTY is serial communication. It does not require a display of any verity. You can have two PCs communicate with one another over TTY and never have a display in the process (also called a null modem at times). When you're on a command line on a PC that is a TTY loopback.

That sounds like a game of semantics then, technically everything is a binary interface according to the kernel, but if I make the kernel draw an image on a physical tty through my input on the same device, I'm counting that as a graphical interface in that instance.

The kernel is the interface which commands the blitting, based on the input in this case.

Its not. "TTY" has implicit ways of communication over serial. Its how we interfaced with computers in the 50s and on using teletype machines, its literally the same serial communication for the past 60+ years. Get it, TTY, TeleTYpe. This is how it was done before actual displays existed for computers, and its still done the exact same way today with local loopbacks.

What exactly is stopping most Linux DEs to be customized to look exactly like this? What exactly is the purpose of someone who has absolutely no choice in customization over his DE to compare himself to others other than hopelessly trying to hide his dullness?

Because every compositor on Linux is a piece of utter garbage. That, and macOS frankly has like 700 functions for the mouse that mostly require keyboard shortcuts on linux DEs. And windows is so ancient it doesn't even have some of those functions, like being able to create a new folder with selected items or create a folder where files get processed automatically after dragging them there.

I think it looks better than macOS. Unfortunately the file manager is shit, you need hacks to get indicators in the top bar and the developers are anal to their users.
An example of that is requiring donations to have the software from their app center update automatically.
They're good designers, but without someone with a strong free software vision behind their project, I think it will keep pushing anti-features.

Looks is the only thing Mac still has going for it, and even there Windows and Linux are catching up

That looks like shit and it's entirely non-functional. At least Windows and KDE on Linux use a taskbar style desktop. That dock and menu bar are a huge waste of space. Even Unity on Ubuntu pulled off the dock better by sticking it on the side.
