Rack? There's just a class-d board with integrated bt tossed in a corner somewhere.

>class d
>non-aptx bluetooth
gross

All totally transparent I assure you.
The hiss is not that bad either.

Using a cheap $5 30w * 2 stereo bluetooth amp, driven by 70w power supply. Werks fine here. I don't detect any hiss any any sound level(0-100) and the sound has nice clean sound when its at 100% and very loud. I tried both bluetooth mode and direct 3.5mm audio cable, both are perfectly clear as far as I can hear.

I was kinda hesitant at first but I've been using it over a year now and hasn't fucked up yet.

New speakers being powered by a 3.5wpc 2a3 tube amp.

What's the best tape deck to aim for at a thrift store or flea market...?

thanks for starting another thread based Oknbro

I've got a question about car audio head units if that's allowed: Why, in 2019, do most aftermarket head units store settings (station presets, balance/fader and equalizer setting, etc.) in volatile memory? Even "High end" ones (mine's a 6 month old $300 Kenwood double DIN touchscreen) are this way. I've been hunting down some gremlins in my truck, having to disconnect and reconnect the battery multiple times, and having to start from scratch with my radio every time is starting to piss me off... Is there a genuine reason for this, or just a symptom of a stagnate market?

My cheap $20 one doesn't have volatile memory, but I don't change battery that often.

stagnate market most likely and trying to pinch those pennies. 99% of people are listening to music on their phone so it wouldn't matter to them that the radio station presets reset after dicking with the battery

Having to play the waiting game for the speakers I want in good enough condition to show up is killing me

12” pro radian driver. 1.75” horn loaded tweeter. Super tweeter on top with supposed frequency response to 30khz. It’s included in the price by default. Cab is made from Canadian maple or oak. Not even sure, sorry. Sensitivity is 94db, with a 8ohm minimum impedance, stays above 16ohms most of the time. Very tube amp friendly. Sounds amazing. Super crisp, clear, real sounding. Woodwinds sound exactly like woodwinds. Guitars sound exactly like guitars. They’re super fucking detailed, like headphones territory detailed, or KEF Refernce 3/5 level detailed. Can hear EVERYTHING. Cost was $3400 CDN including taxes, and stands. Coherent GRA12. For the price, highly recommended, and a no brainer if you plan on using a tube amp.

desk speakers that aren't genelec tier of boredom to listen to under 400-500$?

how good are the monolith amps?

Just the other day I started sketching out my own amp in kicad based on the wm8740 and the tpa3116. It'll be controlled thru an esp32.

how is bass response with the tubes? I've considered looking at tube amps but worried about how well they drive large woofers. Sensitivity of my L100Ts is 91dB, which I'm sure is enough.
