Mi max 3 and it's horrible because of MIUI.
The only people developing this phone seem to be pajeets so the instructions on flashing some other ROM is woeful.
Xiaomi have also introduced anti rollback, where flashing MIUI 9 over 10, would send your device into a state that requires Xiaomi to fix it on site.
Google introduced project treble, where you can flash just the system image and have other partitions like vendor intact, but Xiaomi don't support it officially for the mi max 3.
Google also uses tricks to get around your VPN so they can market to you better.
I'm on the verge of giving up and not even having a phone, no one fucking rings me anyway.

it's cheap nowadays, still has a flagship-tier display, good camera and a good audio DAC with the Exynos SoC.
I've looked at chinkphones, but I tried using MIUI on my old Nexus 5 and for the life of me I couldn't get used to it.

Based. My Note 4 died recently and I bought a Note 8 contract free for 400$, decent deal I guess.
The Note 4 felt a bit better, the edge display is a pretty stupid and useless gimmick, I still like the phone and I can't even consider any phone worth my money without having a stylus, it just never works for me.
