Vega 56 + cooler or Nvidia 2060?

don't buy the rtx meme 1660ti

cum

Why are you suggesting a weak 1070 rehash?

2060, what a stupid question

as someone who went from vega 56 to rtx 2070, the rtx 2060 any day. way less heat and similar performance. like the vega 56 coming close to vega 64 when overclocked. the 2060 comes close to the vega 64 as well. and plus, in a few titles the 2060 at stock is faster than the 64. but again that's a few.
>hurr 6gb of jew ram
its not a 1440p card. its already struggling in newer titles at 1440p well below the 6gb of vram usage on both 56 and 2060. both cards are borderline entry level.

2060 is considered entry level? Are you American, by a chance?

it is faggot. look at newer games performance at 1440p with it and it IS entry level at max settings. give it a year and it will start struggling. like wise vega 56 will be as shitfull in a year as well at 1440.

1080 both cards are still fantastic and still have years to go.

I think I just got used to rocking my 390x and not feeling cornered by perf at all I guess

2060, obviously. Cooler, quieter, half the power consumption and still beats the pants off the V56 in any game.
Also CUDA >>>>>>>>>>>>>>OpenCL for actual professional workloads.

Price to Performance is good

Uhh vega 56 was always shit fuck amd

neither. buy a 1660 as a placeholder until navi.

>buy twice to save money

>j-just wait for poovi!

You didn't UV your Vega 56?

>its not a 1440p card. its already struggling in newer titles at 1440p well below the 6gb of vram usage on both 56 and 2060.
Far Cry 5 at 1440p, 75 FPS average on Vega 56 with Ultra settings, VRAM usage is around 7600MB.
Both cards are a dumb purchase for 1440p/60FPS nowadays in terms of future proofing, but saying it wasn't and still is a fine 1440p/60FPS card is /pcbg/ levels of fanboyism. Especially considering you could get a Vega 56 for a 2060 price before the 2060 was even out and Nvidia support FreeSync.

Does amd pay you to say this retarded shit? No one who isnt paid to cares or talks about far cry. Talk about good games like the ones crapcom had been shitting out or nudoom

Are you coping?
But yes, recent Resident Evil suffers from VRAM limitations too on 6GB cards.

>Does amd pay you
Yes, AMD pays me to tell people Vega 56 is a bad purchase. Go figure.

1070

Thanks for giving me more amd marketing material pajeet. Just what i wanted

what would be a good purchase for 1440p 60fps then? I'm thinking about buying something used - thought vega 56 or 1070ti would be fine

For right now, both would be fine budget options for 1440p 60fps.

What about a 2070? I'm thinking of buying a 2070 for around $570.

Vega 56
how is this even a question, it's 40$ cheaper and faster out of the box
???

> faster
2060 is faster. You're thinking of 1660Ti, Vega56 is faster than that.

sorry to break it for you goy but
vega56 is faster than rtx2060 on average
having though time reading?

Why are you jews shilling for AMD?

How's life being retarded

You tell me, at least I learned to put dots at the end of my sentences.

good job faggot

Utter horse shit. You had a terrible model of Vega 56 if it got hot. My Pulse model sits in the mid-60s with the fans spinning at ~1300RPM, which is extremely quiet.

>Pulse
Could have gotten a Nitro+ at least.

I'm currently playing res 2, sekiro, devil may cry and the division ultra 60fps 1440p with a 1070. A 1070i would be perfect.

if you will change the gpu in the next 1-2 years 2060
if you will change the gpu in 5-7 years vega 56

2060, it's faster

If you're European (could get a Vega 56 for 260€): Vega 56
Otherwise : RTX 2060.

this so much this eventually vega 56 will be a lot faster as time progress this is always the case with amd..
plus an undervolted 56 is just as cool and consumes way less power

If I had to buy a card right now it would be 2060. But considering the GPU market is the worst since like a decade+ ago I'm not upgrading my 1070 until at least Navi (or AMD's new high end line after Navi) and Nvidia's 3000 series.

I personally would not touch current AMD housefires.

Obviously, the RX Vega 7 is a retarded paper launch and should not be used by anyone, unironically.
