Because it's really not that expensive.

Now try doing any 2 of these simultaneously.

try compiling any serious code or actually working for a living.

This is a $100 PC.

Cool modern hardware in back of the cardboard op

>nVidia and Intel
Kys, not even worth being paid to use this trash.

Try taking that out in public :^)

It doesn't have a video card in it anymore since it's running headless. Is that better?

Buy a real case. They aren't that expensive and it'll stop the Pi from sliding all over the desk. Mine is fanless with a huge aluminum heat sink inside. No thermal throttling whatsoever.

>Flirc
>$15 case only
I'd buy that case if it came with a kit like some of the other $15 cases.

Comes with screws and thermal pads. What else is it supposed to come with?

>TFW your power bill is higher than the price of your build
Enjoy being poor

This is a $16 pc.

Why did you buy that cardboard piece of shit? What are you, stupid? Would you really carry that to your job?

Attached: 20190325_123805.jpg (3984x2988, 2.25M)

Don't get me wrong, if its good to you then its money well spent. But if I'm going to shell out $15 for something that is likely going to be shelved, I'd want some extra stuff with it that I might find useful later.

Pic related is just an example. Comes with a case that has room for a GPIO ribbon along with a power supply and a fan. In my experience, as far as chinese shit goes those power supplies and fans are usually good, surprisingly.

Attached: case w kit.png (1520x625, 576K)

Vs. pic. Unless you got it somewhere for less than $15

Attached: flirc.png (1063x591, 121K)

The case makes the fan and heat sinks irrelevant. I already got a wall plug, pi switch, and HDMI cable with the CanaKit package I originally ordered. The Flirc case is nice because it cools the Pi with no noise.

The only thing there I would find useful is the microUSB wall plug. Even then, microUSB cables are $3 for a 5 pack.

BAKA... niggas always trying to shoehorn Pi's into spaces they don't belong.

Pretty sure you can find an old Asus, Acer, or Dell netbook for $20-$30 these days on Ebay.

This is a $5,877.98 PC.

Fuck off poorfags

If I could afford a Surface Studio (or if they just made the monitor and I could hook it up to any PC) I would buy one.

This is what you look like to the world, Thinkpad owners.

Attached: 1547853603032.png (364x452, 367K)

In brazil they overprice the pi to hell because its a brand computer.

You could buy an old thinkpad for that price and have a machine that's more powerful and actually looks at least semi-presentable

the rpie alone is over $30.
fuck you and your lies.

>overheats and dies
enjoy your $5,877.98 paperweight

tell me where can I find a 10$ display

Who are you fooling?

well believe it or not user, there are modern games worth playing. Also video on rpi is not great. also multitasking.

it's a paperweight before it inevitably dies imo

holy mother of kek

>AMD shills bullying the poor
U goys are like Russia in WW1 lol

>modern games worth playing
Can you give an example or a source for this?

6000$ Mac you mean?
T.2 chip don't even let you install windows or Linux on the internal SSDs

Becuase your example in particular is slated to be oboslete in a year and is unable to do most of the things I want out of a computer.

They need to make a surface monitor as that thing is a wicked pretty touch screen and cool hinge

good luck doing full vehicular soft body physics on a fucking Rpi lol

just use a smartphone with a monitor, mouse and keyboard.

thread is now about posting real computers you got for $20 or less

I'd much rather stick to my $5 budget, thanks.

screen: $15
pi: $30
powerbank: $15
keyboard/cables: $10

add $30 and you can get a used thinkpad that can do everything better than this pos

I got this for free.
It's working perfectly.
Pic is from summer 2017 when I made a thread on Jow Forums as a review.
Apart from 3 ppl, noone else gave a shit.
It has a a p4 and I run tui based programs on debian testing.

what do you use the quadro for that the 470 fails you with? Or are you some crazy multi-tasker?

Extra DVI outputs if I need them, but mostly it's just in there because it was laying around unused and is chronologically appropriate for the machine.

Based. I have a Latitude 100L with a desktop Northwood. The thing is a fucking heater, but it's still quite useful for web browsing / general office type tasks.

Besides the video card, all of this build is free, from OEM salvage or hand-me-down parts from friends (75% of the ram), mainly OEM stuff. The Video card is an Alienware Geforce i bought in a lot locally for $60 CAD (other two cards in the lot were an ASUS 512mb GDDR5 Radeon 5450 and an OEM 1gb GDDR5 Radon 8470, so the 645 was worth about $30). GPU is a cut down 660 GTX that runs like a 1gb 750 GTX. Even in almost butt-fuck nowhere that is my 'city' (25K ppl), you can get a lot of shit for free if you look hard enough. It's also got a case, so no cardboard

10-bit h.264 oriental cartoon

are you the user who made joe rogan pepe? your style is familiar

Imagine how much storage you could buy for 4.8k alongside a decent 1k pc build.

Got this inspiron mini for free, grabbed a 2 gig ram stick out of a bin and spent 5 bucks on a power supply and i've been in business since

The temparature is suprisingly low

its a clock

imagine buying a used laptop. I hope you have health insurance because your fingers are likely pregnant.

>everyone who sells used laptops has aids and came on their laptop at least 20 times

You can get a used desktop for that kek

Do you really not see the difference in aesthetics between these two? Fuck me.

Took me longer than it should've. That's fucking hilarious!

your pic is around 100 Usd, not 20.

You can get a more powerfull thinkpad for that money.

Windows installs just fine, Linux would need you to disable it first

It's actually kinda fun.

$2.5k new adjusted for inflation
$1.5k new adjusted for inflation
$1.3k new adjusted for inflation

Thread is about $20 new computer. Why bother posting.

Where the fuck do you find those bay batteries?

Why would anyone pay 5000$ for a display?

I got a similar one from Ali for cheap. Take a look

I like my 64-bit 730. Upgraded to 740 tho. Which is just a 650.

As long as your parents pay the bill it's p good.

>I cant buy this $20 thinkpad because in the past it was $2500 and I can't afford $2500.
