Literally nothing has changed. uBO has to store your block lists somewhere. It uses local storage. They're bigger than 5Mb, therefore they have to notify the user according to a new firefox permission. Note that the chrome version has had to comply with this permission already since 2014.

I don't know which specific version did it but one of the ublock origin ones corrupted my entire local storage in Firefox and prevented pages from loading at all.
I had to manually uninstall all of my extensions then delete the local store, and redo all my configs for the extensions that don't allow you to export/backup config data.
What a pain in the ass. This is Firefox's fault though for letting this be possible in the first place.

It seems to be a glitch. Other test sites don't detect any fonts if you block access, panopticlick always reports at least Windings.
