Absolutly no.
VR is a meme gimmick fad that is already over.
This is Rift footage, isn't it?
>pay $400 to get punched by a nigger
I can do that by walking walking outside at night and get a more realistic experience
which one should i get to pretend im an anime with the other neckbeards
kek. No. This will almost certainly not be enough to take it mainstream. Needs more long format RPG content. Things that build on the immersive aspect and really utilize it. That's why those types of games do so well. When we start to see things like the Stanly parable, kingdom hearts, monster hunter, final fantasy, neir, GTA, Detriot: become human, dark cloud, quantum break, mario, and other such games come out with a focus on immersion and VR FIRST DESIGN, then we will start to see adoption. Not before. Also, fuck teleporting. Locomotion ftw. People just need to get their "vr legs"
Its not, robo recall, dead and buried 2 and the sword and shield game are definitely quest footage
VrChat
got seizure watching this 2 fps shit
nice strawman, but games need to run at a consistent 72 hz to be accepted in the Quest store.
> VRchat
My Wii looks better than this.
So we can expect like
5 severely limited minigames
Noice
50+ launch titles
Does your Wii have VR?
stay cucked, facebookfags.
Vrchat is fun for the fact alone that you can see how that meme impacted it and how theres still remnants of it decaying everywhere
>Does your Wii have VR?
My Wii came out 13 years ago. The point was that the graphics are shit. You can't compare it to a moderately powerful PC.
PC thethered VR will never become mainstream, and thus will never get software that isn't directly funded by VR-headset companies
>HTC is leaving the consumer market and 100% focusing on business
>Oculus outsourced the Rift S to lenovo
>WMR is selling terrible and Microsoft will likely pull out
If you think PC VR has a future you really are a total brainlet.
WMR is growing in sales and market share fast though
Mostly because Samsung has the best looking display in vr, lenovo the cheapest real pc vr headset, and soon HP with the most powerful
All shit because they dont use outside tracking
Outside-in tracking
>wall mounted setup
>need to drill holes
>need additional I/O ports, cables all over the room
Inside-out tracking is the future, you just need more cameras.
Look i am totally looking forward to the rift S.
But i wont buy until 1. They update it to allow the ABILITY to use the oculus sensors. Without it i cant play echo. That game uses behind the back stuff constantly. Headset cams cant do that. 2. IPD adjustment, my IPD is way too high for a software fix to change it (which only changes depth, not actual IPD, still hurts) i know because i've tried headsets using software ipd, it hurts even after hours of using
The lower refresh rate sucks but whatever. The lack of vivid colors is whatever. But those are two functional issues i shouldnt get from a 400 dollar "upgrade"
>inside out tracking
no thank you.
moron lmao
VR is a meme gimmick fad that is already over.
>more VR headsets sold last year than ever before
nice meme
>actually wanting to use your headset
Please user, you're not the soccer mom facebook desperately wants to sell to. Your opinion means nothing to them.
>closed platform
>shit tracking
>shit on board processor
in your dreams
tethered VR is the future and Oculus is shooting themselves in the foot
surely some neet user has done a better market analysis than facebook lmao
>shit tracking
wrong
>shit on board processor
as powerful as a ps3 in a tiny headset format
>closed platform
and thats a good thing
